  1. Thanks for posting this thread, I have changed my route slightly as a result, although never seen any hint of trouble, mind you I cycle slightly out of rush hour. I have to say the worst part of route 22 has to be Willow Road - devoid of flat tarmac and terribly lit.
  2. I just feel sorry for the whistling man who seemed to enjoy their company raving at all hours on their front step drinking got knows what in a high vis jacket. Little Britain couldn't write a better sketch!
  3. This is Southwark's 24 hour antisocial behaviour and noise hotline 020 7525 5777. Call them if you have a problem. The PC brigade on this thread clearly do not live on Whateley Road. I do, these people are rude, obnoxious, noisy and wait for it...anti social
  4. Thanks for the tips folks, it seems I am not on my own. On first glance outside this morning I can see 2 fresh turds in my borders. Seriously, why would anyone willingly invite vermin into their house? it's beyond me!
  5. Can anyone recommend a non violent remedy, to what seems like the entire ED cat community, from cr$pping in my garden. Personally I cannot understand why anyone would wish to own one (a cat, that is), but that is a different debate entirely If no recomendation is forthcoming I shall have to resort to posting the same thread but, ommit the words 'non violent'
  6. I lived on Derwent Grove (next door to the sh*t pit that is currently number 19) for 4 years and can confirm that parking is/was a nighmare on that street and has nothing to do with the number of cars people have (don't recall any of my neighbors having more than 1) it is to do with the lazy sods who cannot be arsed walking to the station but drive and park on said road
  7. I live on Whateley and live just far enough away for it to be highly amusing - this isn't to do with morals at any level, i have witnessed their behaviour (albeit harmless) for 3 years, I just pitty anyone who lives close enough for it to be upsetting
  8. I've just laughed out loud at that...'have some consideration' - tell that to their direct neighbours
  9. You've missed the point Sonners. Whateley Rd is no better or worse than any other road in East D
  10. Seriously depressing that the earlier thread on this subject has been locked. I wanted to show my wife that it is not just us they hurl abuse at. Can those who contributed restart the thread, and for the the benifit of those too easily offended tone it down. what is the world coming to?
  11. Indeed hilarious. Ive lived on Whately Rd for 3 years and always marvel at their taste in music, they are up at the crack of dawn hurling abuse at anyone they feel like. I live just far enough away for it to be funny and good value - they always put a smile on my face anyway. In fairness they are nutters
  12. Nonesense. You can never, ever better a sausage roll from Gregs. Call me a pikey but it's true. PS: Dried apricot in a sausage roll??!!
  13. I've been following this thread with interest for sometime now. All I can say is the improvements to LL we have all seen in the past 6 yrs or so are great. I'd like to ditto the good points Goose mentioned - if Nero were to be forced 'closed' what would replace it? I'm actually not a coffee shop fan - definately overrated. Leave Nero alone and bring on the big names to LL. I can only image to froth the good people of this forum will get into when the Police station plot goes up for sale next year!
