  1. we're only meeting at 1pm so sure we'll still be around at 2pm - otherwise it'll be a quick picnic! same here, will bring the husband along lured with the promise of food!
  2. Hi all, I think a picnic was suggested so that people could bring kids etc if they wanted? Also I totally second Rebecca's suggestion of the bench area - I have a couple of camping chairs that I will bring anyway as I can't sit on the ground any more! Priya
  3. Good to hear of a great Saturday class - the evening class with Yajna isn't til 8pm if that helps.
  4. hello! I go to a Monday evening class at the yoga rooms situated in The Gardens with Yajna - you can either drop in if there is space or block book 4 sessions. See the website here http://www.theyogaroom.org.uk/- Yajna concentrates on breathing and relaxations along with gentle easy poses for flexibility. The classes only fit up to 5 people so it's almost a small intimate class.
  5. I had my handbag stolen from EDT about 4 months ago and immediately told one of the barmen. All he said to me was 'that's strange, we don't have crime here.' I had to press him to take my details and a description of my bag - he didn't seem bothered at all.
  6. I have a sister and we have a 5 year age gap. To cut a long story short it has taken about 20 years for us to be friends - I don't think gender is always the issue to be honest I think age gaps contribute more to sibling animosit, at least this is the case in my experience. We just never had anything in common as the age gap felt huge when I was 10, 15, 20 etc. Weirdly I have always wanted a brother and have lots of male friends (and female ones)maybe trying to fill that gap. I am now pregnant and find myself being a little scared about having a boy as I have no experience of growing up with a brother. Your experience is unique to you and I understand your apprehension but I think every sibing relationship is completely different and is subject to so many factors, Congrats on your pregnancy!
  7. Hello all, So sad that I missed the last meet up. I was going to suggest that seeing as some people have more than child and childcare issues sometimes in the evening - why don't we meet up on Peckham Rye on Sunday afternoon? Maybe have a picnic and that way people can bring kids? let me know what you think, I know this is rather weather dependent!!
  8. surely it's completely up to you how much you spend on a wedding? i don't understand the snobbery. If you can afford it and you want to - then why not?
  9. We attended a wedding recently where the reception was in a teepee style marquee (like this http://www.papakata.co.uk/) They decorated it beautifully with greenery and tealights/fairy lights and even has a fire pit and bar at the back. It was also heated by some floor heaters. It really did look magical!
  10. Will try and make this on the 6th - the last one was great. they gave us a nice area right by the bar last time.
  11. really great to meet some of you yesterday and hear everyone's experiences so far. Be great to meet up again next month. Priya x
