It's all there in The Guardian. Can't bear it anymore...

Your 4x4 might be larger or smaller than you think. It is wise to measure the width and length of the vehicle before purchase, and once purchased to practise both parking and passing other road users in narrow streets. (Parking in an average sized space is usually better achieved using a reverse manoeuvre, rather than ploughing in head first.) It is also common courtesy to thank other road users when they have allowed you to pass, especially when they have stopped and pulled over to do so. Even a modest acknowledgement would be appreciated. Such behaviour is free of charge. Thank you.

They're in the Caf many a morning and I don't blame them.

They certainly are scavengers but for the most part eat bugs when in the countryside. I'm not ignorant about them or their welfare, and can distinguish between "fox hunting" and "hunting with dogs" for the record! Also I didn't try to switch the thread from urban to rural fox. They are the same species after all. Their dirt is more evident in cities, though their destructive nature is of course better documented in the rural environment.

Aside from their faeces stinking up ours and our neighbouring gardens I've never really liked them. Memories of masssive chicken overkill (with only one or two chickens taken) and similar lambing situations I witnessed through childhood don't heal well. There's not much you can do though - killing your local foxes just frees up space for others to move in. Howl away Foxy!

Camberwell Grove rail bridge consultation

If I lived on Camberwell Grove as a driver I'd want it open. The hassle of making pointlessly long journeys into Peckham, Champion Hill, Grove Hill Road and Denmark Hill can be relieved - along with its fumes. -

New builds in ED (Tribeca + another): thoughts?
SpringTime replied to DulwichLondoner's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I think 3 or 4 of the Tribeca units are under offer despite the development still being finished. And one of those is a house (according to haart). There's a communal garden on top apparently. -
What colour are the scooters Woody? And which nursery were they taken from please?

I was always told the road was for bikes and the pavement for pedestrians, and that pedestrians always had right of way. It is very annoying when a cyclist aged 15+ is on the pavement and doesn't give way. But I won't have my little one on the road just yet - she's still using stabilisers! Expecting a child under 10 to use an urban road without close guidance of an adult seems a little reckless to me. Once they're 12 however, the road should be the priority.

I'd get it into the ground proper if you can. We had a couple that were so plagued with ants the pots were largely emptied of any sustinence. Replanting and lots of water seemed the last thing that might've helped, and it worked.

Another terrorist attack....... Ariana grande concert
SpringTime replied to sweetgirl's topic in The Lounge
I previously posted this (should've appeared before JohnL's post 6.02pm today I think) though it seems to have been removed. Just to be clear this is not a hateful rant against Jews, Christians and Muslims, or anyone else for that matter. Let's see if it sticks this time: ......................................... Like Christianity, Islam comes from Judaism. Read the Koran and it?s abundantly evident that Islam is nothing more than a scam to decimate the former Arabs? paganism (Mohammed was a pagan before he sold out to monotheism) and mobilise an Arab army against the Christians who were in dispute with the Jews on the Eastern side of the Red Sea at the time. Lost your husband in the conflict? Then marry someone else?s? Islam means submission and that?s it in a nutshell. The centuries old glory days of its inclusive, colourful and rich culture when philosophy, art and science were celebrated were never its original aim. And for all the arguments based on being moderate (as if genital mutilation of children or the enforced worship of an invisible, false and hateful god are moderate ? that?s beyond extreme!) please remember that Islam needs the ?moderates? to help breed more soldiers. Islam is a system designed to enslave its followers, and destroy its opponents either though direct action or breeding. Holding vigils and lighting up European monuments with the colours of flags won?t help. -
Hello Admin! Hope you're well. One of my posts (to The Lounge in the Ariana Grande thread regarding terrorism) appears to have been removed. I can repost my remarks but please advise as to editing/boundaries before I do. Far as I can see I broke no rules. Thanks. ST
