  1. Hi Elmgrove, it's at the bottom of Streatham common and no not always in the same park. I never thought to report the attacks it always happens so fast and as she is on a lead really difficult to grab the other dog. I will def try to take a pic if it happens again, this time I did have a conversation with the guy after but he was only the dogwalker and the owner is not answering my calls so looks like I'll be paying the ?260 bill plus whatever the next vet trip costs this wk. Last time we had all the details of the owner and she apologised but when it came down to it her insurance wrote us an email to say it can't of been her as she was with her grandkids at the time, lies and that cost us ?800 as my dog needed eye surgery twice to correct the damage and her eye has never been the same. I'm taking my dog to Oddono's for ice cream tomorrow to cheer her up :)
  2. 6pm Norwood Grove black 9yr old Staffie. She has been bitten by two staffies, boxer, labradoodle, cocker spaniel & patterdale so it goes to show any breed can attack but in my opinion Staffies seem to do the most damage as they just don't let go and keep biting! Aquarius moon that's sad you can't take your three to the park, I don't walk my other dog in the park cos he is nervous and if approached on the lead by a dog may pick it up and throw it (he doesn't attack) but has thrown a dog away before that kept jumping up at him. So I walk him on the road instead too but it's frustrating as why can't we walk our dogs in the park because others are irresponsible and let their dog bound over to just anyone. I long for a fenced lead only area if anyone knows of one anywhere, I will drive to it let me know thanks.
  3. Thank you aquarius moon, she is in pain and limping today but seems ok in herself. I on the other hand am feeling really anxious about walking either of my dogs outside as I often take my 1yr old with me on walks and this is actually the 6th time she has been bitten by another dog in the park and the owners always say 'oh he/she has never bitten before' this really drives me crazy, there is always a first...stop being irresponsible and letting your dogs run over to dogs on lead unless uninvited. I don't want to but will have kick the next dog that approaches away whether is friendly or not as you can't always tell and I am sick of being left with the vet bill! Rant over, sorry everyone :)
  4. I filled out the questionnaire, I'm a dog owner of two dogs. I would like to see fenced lead only areas in parks for those dogs who wish to be walked on lead and not bothered by off lead dogs. My dog was attacked this evening, the other dog was off lead and went straight for her this has happened 3 times now! It was awful, I had to take her straight to the emergency vets where she had 6 neck wounds stapled. She also has four more punctures across her legs and chest. I think dogs should be allowed off lead in parks but would be nice to have a secure area where dogs can be exercised on long leads away from off lead dogs.
  5. Hi, would the class be suitable with 13month old crawler? Thanks

  8. There have been posters of a missing Weimaraner dog up around Norwood Grove park for some time now, wonder if it was the same dog?!

  11. Thanks for the update first mate and well done! I hope they decide to rehome her and she finds the loving home she deserves.
  12. first mate, has the RSPCA inspector rang you back yet? Are the owners still there with the dog or have they taken her do you know? Did they thank you for bringing her water and looking out for her, just wondered if they felt terrible when the found out how distressed she has been all night but I'm guessing the fact they left her in such poor conditions in the first place means they probably don't really care :(
  13. I wish I could come and help you first mate but with baby in tow would not be ideal! At least you have been able to see her and given her some water. I really hope the RSPCA get someone out to rescue her soon, what sort of people would leave a dog in these conditions! Perhaps she is stolen, hopefully she is microchipped. I'll check back on here later and hope to read that she has been rescued from these awful conditions.
  14. Well off to bed now, will be worrying about that poor dog whilst mine are here tucked up in their beds. Hopefully the owners will be back soon and the dog calms down and you can get some sleep too!
  15. Sounds like you have done all you can! Hopefully someone on here will know the owners of this poor dog but maybe not read this thread till the morning. Surely if it is separation anxiety though the owner would be aware how much their dog suffers and wouldn't leave them alone, so maybe it's not and something else is going on such as the dog crying for help as something has happened to the owner like an accident?!
  16. Is the dog outside or in the house do you know? I hate to think of the dog outside in this weather! Did you say you tried knocking on the front door?
  17. Sorry I can't be of any help but poor dog I really do hope everything is ok! Perhaps the owners have gone out and left the dog alone in the garden all evening and he/she is suffering terrible separation anxiety!
  18. Thanks for you responses, I'll take a look at those books recommended online.
  19. Hi, Can anyone recommend a parenting book for me please? My son is 1 years old and in the first year I was given several parenting books but the only one I found helpful was 'The Babysense Secret' by Megan Faure. I had a brief look online for recommendations but the choice was overwhelming! Many Thanks
  20. I've got a babyzen yoyo, I can fold it in one hand whilst carrying my 1yr old and carry the buggy on my shoulder using the strap like a handbag. Plus when we flew we were able to take it onboard and put it in the overhead locker. It's lightweight, narrow and reclines. It's amazing!
  21. Yes I remember! On 12/12/2007 the court granted a lifetime Anti- Social Behaviour Order that prohibits the defendant from keeping animals anywhere in England and Wales.
  22. They are a local family in south London but not certain if from Dulwich. Apparently the little girl is doing well (came across a post about them on mums page on Facebook).
  23. I recently bought a Babyzen Yoyo for this reason as I didn't want my main buggy to get damaged. It's tiny and can be folded with one hand whilst holding baby, we took it onto the plane and stored it in the overhead cabins. It's great as it means we can put him into it the minute we come off the plane.
