Adding my recommendation to this thread, which is where I came across Bujar Doda. What a brilliant find! Bujar is an excellent builder and a great person to deal with. We got him to do various repairs to our long boundary wall in Camberwell, including - removing and reinstating a tree damaged section of brick wall - repointing and refacing brickwork - repairing and painting sections - repairs to victorian tiled path He was quick to come round, produced a reasonable quote and was great on site - good communicator, tidy and really nice to have around. Hi all, I live in Camberwell SE5 and am currently in a section 20 consultation for Major Works with our freeholder Lambeth Council. They have given us the opportunity to nominate contractors for the works, which will include roof, external masonry, windows and guttering repairs over around a dozen street properties. The work is currently scheduled for Q1 2021 Lambeth are trialling a new process to try and get better value for leaseholders and the authority, and also to try and give local businesses a chance to bid. I would really welcome recommendations from any ED construction businesses who could possibly meet the Lambeth criteria - they do need to be big enough to take on the job. This will mean that the business is almost certainly registered on Constructionline (https://www.constructionline.co.uk/) and will have formal systems in place for H&S, training etc. Minimum capital reserve criteria will also apply. I would love this big chunk of work to go to a local business who will use local sub-contractors and local suppliers to keep the money in our area - thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have. Dave Jones has done two pieces of work for us - repairing and repainting a water damaged ceiling and more recently an overhaul of a dozen sash windows, some of which were in very poor condition. Both times, we have been delighted with the quality of the work but also with Dave?s fair and accurate pricing, his time-keeping and attention to detail and also his generosity in going beyond the scope of the job. Not surprisingly, he?s a busy guy, but I would strongly recommend waiting for him to be available!

As per the experience of others above, Barney was able to come round quickly to quote, offer a fair price and get the work done on time with no fuss. Back to Wood got my floors looking better than I could ever have hoped for and left my flat tidier and cleaner than when they started.
