  1. I don't disagree about Arsene Whinger being a great manager. But he is a real moaner. Also I agree about Warnock at Sheffield Utd. He's a poor manager.
  2. Warnock once stood on the touchline and mouthed to one of his players to 'break his leg' regarding an opponent when he was ay Sheffield Utd. Whilst saying this he used to his foot in s stamping action to enforce his point. I thought that was a disgrace. I think Warnock is a bit like ole Vinegar face over at the Emirates. A real whinger. And as for the corner decision, I have to again repeat, what about his team's defending on that corner? It was poor. He should accept responsibility for this rather then moaning about the linesman.

  4. I have yet to see a game where the the Ref or Linesman does not get one call wrong. Human error has to be accounted for. However, you can't ban linesman or refs for giving a corner when it should have been a goalkick. He should be more concerned about his team's defending on that corner. Can you imagine if a Ref came out and said Warnock should be banned from managing for a month because he made a tactical error or bad decision. As for him being a 'character',this is the manager who once tried to encourage one of his players to break an opponents leg. Yeah we really need blokes like him in the game.

  11. Nice one mate. There's a few of them on this forum alright.
  12. Good player. But he's not a target man or lone striker. He plays off a striker, like a classic number 10. Personally I think Wenger could have done a lot worse then to buy Pavyluchenko from Spurs. Him and Arshavin were superb together in the european championships.
  13. I agree, but he can't swim against the tide all the time. He must spend some money. He made a very astute signing with Vermaelen. He splashed a bit of cash on Arshavin. They have both been succesful. I'm being a bit provocative saying sack him, as I do rate him as a coach and anyone who promotes good football is to be applauded. Perhaps Arsenal simply don't have any money?
  14. I didn't say it wasn't Sean. I was simply outlining my reasons why I feel he should be under pressure considering Arsenal have not won a trophy for 5 years. His job should be under pressure now. It may make him act a bit more decisively in correcting the obvious flaws which are preventing his team from winning honours. My own view on him is that he won't be told because of his arrogance.

  16. Really? I've seen good managers sacked for a lot less. Why is he untouchable? I think he has blinkers and can be tactically deficient. What Arsenal lacked today was a Drogba-like, big strong striker who is good in the air, can hold the ball up and can finish. He had the nearest thing in Adebayor and sold him. Bad decision. As a consequence all Arsenal's play is now in front of the opposing defence. They never get behind their opponents. There is no real width and I rarely ever see an Arsenal player get to the byline and get a cross in. The reason is probably because they don't have anyone in the box who can head the crosses in. Also they are terrible at defending set pieces. I have heard, from a coaching contact, that Arsenal don't practice defending corners. It shows. Wenger has one way of playing in his mind and no plan B. Even Barcelona, who are the best team in the world, recognised that they needed a big strong striker in the summer and they went out and splashed the cash on Ibrahimovic. Wenger should be under pressure.

  23. I think the coach, Pellegrini must take a lot of credit. He hasn't always played the galacticos and has still used players like Van der Vart and Gutti to great effect. They seem to have tightened up a bit at the back as well.

  25. Seems like a really picky Spurs fan who can come on after he's scored a hat-trick in the cup and criticize him. His scoring record is good and I reckon he could score against anyone. He's a natural predator.
