From the topic of roadworks on LL...... Posted by: James 28 August, 2008 10:36 Can someone tell me what a 'decent' person is? As opposed to, say, an indecent person? Posted by: Pierre 28 August, 2008 10:47 A "decent" person is "us". An "indecent" person is "them". Posted by: *Bob* 28 August, 2008 11:04 Here's 'an indecent person'... pic Anything to declare, Sir? (Sorry dont know how to copy the picture in so its in the message...)
  7. yes he did but he loves all that stuff anyway! I think its really good that you have to learn all about the country you would like to be a citizen of and that they have a proper ceremony to mark the occasion - it really feels like you are part of the country and the community which is great. Thanks for your good wishes xx
  8. MrClive3300 was made a british citizen today (yay only taken 9 1/2 years) and I just wanted to say how excellent the whole experience was. It was held in the town hall (in Peckham) - the mayor spoke about the rights and responsibilities of being British and gave an excellent speech about our Borough. How its the most ethnically diverse in London, how the council owns 60% of housing, how its the most historical borough in London etc etc. I think there were about 29 different nationalities of people who were becoming British and the whole experience was so moving (I sobbed the whole way through it... possibly due to being pregnant as well) The Mayor was available for everyone to take pictures with afterwards and to ask all sorts of questions at the end and the whole experience made me very proud to be British
  9. Like HeidiHi, I too had a tear, actually 2 of them rolling down my face reading this post (pregnancy hormones??) I'm very glad you are ok that you managed to get to hospital in time.
  10. Try Petitou in Peckham Rye, 63 Choumert Road. Great coffee and fab pastries, cakes etc.....yum I think unfortunately coffee is a 'new' thing in the UK, having lived here for 8 years, its definately got better, but there is still a long way to go. I can never understand how people can get it so wrong - there are only 3 ingrediants! Often it tastes crap because the milk or the coffee are burnt, or there isnt enough coffee in the drip bit (sorry pregnant brain cant remember what its called)
  11. Sorry Giggirl - have just re-read the title and agree it would be shocking as we have really not seen must of his abs. Sadly as well in the new film, there's not a trunk scene in sight. Agree with the product placement comments, very gratutious virgin atlantic advertising... also, cant remember (pregnant brain) if it was in QofS or Goldeneye where a car drove through all the perrier bottles on a truck - what was funny about that was they were in a really really rundown area not likely to selling said product
  12. well we watched Golden Eye the night before - it was so camp its no wonder Austin Powers was invented. I was worried there would be no humour or sarsastic wit in the new one, but M was brilliant as always - she is just cool isnt she!
  13. Went to see last night with MrClive3300, was slightly nervous that I wasnt going to love it because it was supposedly too action. However I thought it was great and how hot is Olga? My only comment was that i was feeling a bit car sick with some of the jerky filming, but apparently thats all part of the film according to husbie
  14. sorry I started this thread and then didnt check back till now! no i didnt call the police. I think from what I saw it was them fighting each other - not 'end of year screeching' to be honest (i know this is going to be very unpopular) i would rather they were fighting amongst themselves and not attacking the rest of us, I too think they are animals and wish they could all be locked away so i dont have to see them
  15. i know it looked so awful and such mob mentality - I dont want to start a big arguement on here but in my experience its the girls that are worse than the boys at their age - what is wrong with them??
