  1. 'Scruffy' often means 'more interesting'. how bourgois it is to 'dress up' to go to the pub. How very suburban. Look closer, Scruffy's have an awful lot more going on inside their heads than 'Smarties'.
  2. Food was fabulous. Atmosphere fabulous. No crusty old men. No croydon types. No football. A fabulous - most refreshing drinking hole.
  3. yup. I've had the hour on Berwick Street aswell. He obviously has issues. I do remember feeling rather pressurised into buying several metres of a fabric I wasnt sure about - that 'look' he gives you - very very scary. Needles to say I've not been back there. If people are rude they should be made aware that this is unacceptable behaviour and asked to apologise.
  4. it'll act as a chaser for the Daz he drinks. Have you noticed how scarily ice blue his eyes are?
  5. blimey crikey - you lot really love to have a pop at each other dont ya? Getting back to the original question. I have heard there is an excellent South African lady nutritionist who is 'associated' with Green & Blue. Go in and ask them about her. I hear she is very good.
  6. Glad someone else has experienced (name removed - The Administrator), I dare anyone to mention world politics, you'll be in there for hours and hours and hours. he be one of them Mentalist people.
  7. MrChoo must have owed his second cousin a favour. This wont be doing his reputation any good at all. Surely as Mentor he should have said something right from the start.... the name of the shop for starters... in any case, she has a SALE on already. Perhaps she wont even see the year out.... perhaps she should head back down Bromley way
  8. just had a thought. We could all help to put Dav on the right track and go in a ask if she could order in some Birkenstocks. Sure she'd appreciate the locals input.
  9. Ms Tivoli (Dav) has decided shoe shops is a better option innit. Shiny shiny.
  10. BMC has ALWAYS (in my circle of East Dulwich friends at least) had a rather bad reputation with regards to their customer service. We do still frequent the place, but only after careful consideration and pre-planning our appetites for a delay of at least 30-40mins. Don't go there expecting to be served within a reasonable length of time - go there to wait, read the papers, wait some more, read more papers, say hi to all your friends who are there doing the same thing. BMC = Be.Meditate.Chill. It's still one of the nicer places to 'be' in ED.
  11. Davina Shoes. Hmmmmm... Shiny Patent Buckled bad taste. Did Davina do ANY market research I wonder. Maybe she did? There are plenty of hairdressers and estate agents on LL who are all known for their impeccably bad dressing. Ill fitting suits (there's her next shop perhaps?) Over 'done' hairdresser hair. A penchant for pink. Visible muffin tops (thats the usually rather flabby mid-riff above trouser top and below tummy button...) and the high high shiny shiny shoes with big shiny buckles . It is a great shame that the shop is at the head of North X Road , very visible and very um... pink. Alas, 'taste' is an individual thing and everyone is of course entitled to regard their own very little world of taste the best. However, having said that, I DECLARE DAVINA AINT GOT NONE.
