  1. Hi I teach pilates & yoga exercise specifically adapted for the post partum months with particular focus on any abdominal separation & pelvic girdle pain. The post partum time is an opportunity to gradually allow your body to return to pre-pregnancy condition, whilst considering the physical changes that have occurred. The classes will help with improved posture to help with the demands of feeding & carrying baby, as well as strengthening the appropriate core muscles. Relaxation is key component as well. I also work with a local women's health physiotherapist who can be consulted, if required. The 1:1 sessions are 1 hour & introductory offers are available May-July. I am starting a new post natal group class in East Dulwichh in October and the classes will include appropriate post natal pilates and yoga exercises, as follows:- *A warm-up section; *Postural awareness and advice on optimal lifting, feeding and carrying positions; *Advice on how to self assess for any abdominal separation; *Appropriate post natal strength work, including tummy and pelvic floor muscles - pilates and yoga; *Appropriate post natal stretching/releasing exercises - pilates and yoga; *Relaxation and breath awareness for promoting energy and releasing tension - yoga; *An opportunity to meet and chat with other mums and their babies!   25. Hi Post Natal Pilates is extremely beneficial in helping you regaining your pre-pregnancy body! The classes will focus on suitable abdominal and pelvic floor exercises to strengthen the core & postural muscles required for functional movement, and to assist you with the extra load and activities you will be carrying out with your baby on board! Stretches and strengthening for the upper body, focussing on good alignment, breathing and centring will help you feel more energised. Some time for relaxation will also be included. I have been teaching ante and post natal exercise since 1992 and trained and qualified with Body Control Pilates (www.bodycontrolpilates.com)and continue to attend professional development courses.
