I'm loving it. I pick it up at Forest Hill and it has taken 40 minutes off my journey to Canary Wharf and back and probably added to the price of my property too. Double good.

Well, to be fair to Hucknall (though I've never been a fan) he does have a fine voice though it's not really my cup of Rosie. Rod's voice isn't what it used to be either and I doubt if he could get the high notes anymore but let's face it without him and the late great Ronnie Lane is just wouldn't be the same. I think I shall be leaving well alone.
I watched it the other night and quickly realised that the girl participating in it (Ita) I'd met a few times where she'd sung at a mutual friends parties. A lovely girl and very glad she won it seeing as it was going to help pay for her wedding.
I've got some of the footage of this on my phone whilst it was being made in the park scenes. It's certainly better than the average footy song. Lucky for you I managed to stay just out of the video shoot. Well done. Good work.
Just got a post from Ian McLagen on Facebook that the Faces (Minus Rod) are going play the Goodwood Festival in England on August 13th. The line up: Ronnie Wood, Kenney Jones, Ian McLagan, Mick Hucknall & Glen Matlock.
Out of these I'd go for Chris Waddle's followed by Michael Owen's and Gazza's against Scotland as I was at the match. Also worth a mention is Joe Cole's volley against Sweden a couple of years ago. I'll try and find it.
Headbanging is not for me. I saw them back in the 80s. They're one song/riff which is a bloody good-un as it goes went on a bit though and is of course somewhat repetitive. I preferred them when Bon Scott was still alive. I had a flatmate years ago who had all their records and he used to flog 'em to death. I liked quite a bit of it at the time but not enough to go out and buy any of their stuff/song/riff.
It's the World Cup. If you want to get behind your country by waving a flag that's fine by me. Just don't get up your arse with middle class guilt about it. Wave it with pride and hope we win.

From small things big things grow. The EDF simply got bigger, spread its wings. Some stuck around and others flew the nest. It still serves its purpose and is still worthwhile but Fings Ain't Wot They Used To Be and nor is nostalgia.

I still don't get it. I think you have to be of a certain age Sean though there's plenty younger than you that do "get it." Different strokes for different folks and all that.
