Got it wrong so back to Lassi.

They leave me cold too and I don't want to shop with them. The amount of food and clothing portrayed puts me off too and all for one day! Don't get me wrong but it's all too soon and too much when there's people starving across the globe. The advert out recently referring to Christmas as 'Chrimbo' also makes me cringe. I can't even remember the name of the shop it's that bad.

Alleyns Junior School - planning
hammerman replied to Bicknell's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Yes Alleyns really do need to addresss the parking situation in the area as do the new Charter School. It was also a sad day when the local scouts hut/teenage get together/todder group was suddenly taken over by Alleyns a few years ago with not a lot of warning to these groups. This caused a loss of a local venue with a detriment effect on the local community. -
Oh come on DulwichFox! The last shop in the advert was the Dulwich Village book shop and had their name all over it!

Interested to see who would be your choice then as somebody who has an Australian passport?

New e-vecicle charging points on Townley Road
hammerman replied to Nigello's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I noticed there were some five or six covered up funny station things on Elmwood Road, SE24 over a month ago when driving through Red Post Hill. They had a white plastic cover up on them for weeks and guessed they were e-points but had no news of these appearing in the local area. -

Finally a useful shop in Camberwell. > > *Edited to say in addition to the art shop* There are a lot of useful shops in Camberwell ruffle, so not sure what you mean? The Lidl had their signs up today ready to go. The 42 bus stops right outside.

Crows are very social birds and they can recognise a human face/features for many years. I have many that rely on me for feeding and social interaction with other birds.

Finding vegan based eateries can be a challenge if you want to eat out and it's also very over-priced! I found there is not a lot of choice on Lordship Lane and the surrounding area if you wanted to eat out and I'm talking over two years ago. It's not like vegans can't eat chips or pasta! My daughters have introduced me to places on the indoors Brixton Market which are advertised as vegan but all very arty farty and are still very very expensive for what you get.

I spotted the Lidl notice at Camberwell over a year ago but then the gym appeared and didn't think it would open due to car park space and the gym taking over. Then again, Southwark News had an article this week about how Lidl are wanting to open their stores in Southwark. East Dulwich, Dulwich, Herne Hill, Walworth were on the list.

Sainsburys have just announced they will not be selling any fireworks in their 200 odd stores this year. Quite surprising as just last year their stores were the first to get in on the act for selling the said items.

Fireworks at 10.30 pm - Dulwich Village area?
hammerman replied to Metallic's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hope they do advertise their next fireworks party as it must have been very loud for them and on the step neighbours! We heard it very loudly and like a thunder bolt for 10 minutes in the Red Post Hill area and I tried to work out where it was coming from as it had a big impact on my animals and the local wildlife in the area for the next few days/weeks. -
Anybody holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning?
hammerman replied to hammerman's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thanks. I went to the King's coffee morning last year so wondering if any more about. -
Are there any Macmillan Coffee Mornings being held in the area for this Friday?

Is this a joke or are you really intending to light up a fire somewhere? Seems very irresponsible to me. Just had a neighbour halfway down to me tonight start a bonfire and the smoke was quite acrid. I thought there was a fire stared somewhere as the smoke was choking.

Yes they are called maisonettes. So funny to see Right Moves describing them as half houses.

Noisy children late at night Hindmans Rd?
hammerman replied to HBB123's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Yes, 11pm is late for children to be up. It's no good saying let children be children. Where are the adults? -

I do feel for you. You can phone Southwark Council's Noise Nuisance team on 0207 525 5777 next time it happens if you wanted to. Maybe other people in the area (not on this forum) are reporting the noise?
