  1. I said it front of a Scotsman at work not so long ago- he looked at me like I'd just admitted to performing a sex act on his Nan.
  2. Irn Bru is vile.
  3. Ah, i am going to this already! The Jacco Gardner album is also worth a mention.
  4. I'd be very interested in this Jah Lush- if this is a general invitation?
  5. I can definitely recommend the Fat White Family album- a bunch of urchins based in Brixton who make a wonderful racket.
  6. I liked her first album, but not given her much attention since- agreed that she's good live though. I saw her supporting Grizzly Bear (with LSO) at the Barbican a few years back. That Grizzly Bear gig was one of the best i've ever seen. I gave her new one a couple of runs through but it didn't grab me at all. I shall revisit.
  7. I think Sun Kil Moon are excellent. Their 2008 album 'April' and their latest 'Benji' are both terrific. 'Benji' is probably the best thing i've heard this year so far. I've also been going back to Nick Cave a lot recently; for some reason it always surprises me just how good his back catalogue is. Been giving a lot of time to 'Tender Prey', 'Murder Ballads', 'No More Shall We Part' and 'Boatman's Call'.
  8. No post for 4 months? enjoying the beck, fat white family (might be 2013), isaiah rashad, sun kil moon, angel olsen, quilt, temples and real estate albums All from this year except fat white family

  10. Real Ale- mostly traditional British style beers. Craft Ale- coverall term used in relation to small, sometimes tiny independent breweries producing artisan beers in many different styles Or summink
  11. Be interesting to see how Arsenal bounce back from this slump and lack of confidence in the record signing (benched again today). Their season could be defined by their next 6 fixtures: Everton FA Cup (h), Bayern Munich (a), Tottenham (a), Chelsea (a), Man City (h), Everton (a)

That's how i read it, and it's fair comment
  13. it was very poor on my part
  14. 1-6 bale 2 benzema 2 ronaldo 2 but the best goal of the night was huntelaar's bale's first was delightful
  15. The only large income stream cut off to United will be champs league money. Overseas revenue will still be huge. It takes more than one season outside of the CL to dissuade overseas fans. Just ask Tottenham. Despite decades in the wilderness we're still the 14th richest club in Europe and a lot of that is due to overseas revenue. A big name is a big name when it comes down to it, regardless of success. United will have no problems attracting the worlds best players if they are prepared to spend. Mata being a good example.
  16. "Arsenal will one day have a similar problem when Wenger leaves, I hope you're taking notes " Arsenal haven't won a trophy other than the Emirates Cup for 9 years. I don't think the fall will be that painful.
  17. As a picturehouse member it'll be welcome. However, i'd still use the Brixton one (as they have Honest Burger a few mins walk away) and will still use Greenwich as I spend a fair bit of time there.
  18. I'm so sorry- i thought we were talking about Ozil. I'm happy to admit we were below par last night- however, after his miss (...and if you looked closely enough it bobbled up just before he hit, hence it coming off his shin) Soldado went looking for the ball at every opportunity, trying desperately to make amends. After Ozil's miss he went into hiding, started sulking and stopped running. But if you're happy with that from a ?42m player, then fine.

I don't So, how does Ancelotti not wanting to get rid of Ozil, have any relevance to a Spurs fan sarcastically saying that they thought RM had fooled us by flogging one of their best players to our main rivals, making us think that our special relationship was a rather one way affair, then realising that actualy they sold them a dud?

Having spoken to a German friend and big German football fan; he said that Ozil isn't the kind of player to take the game by the scruff of the neck when all around him are struggling (like for example a Gerrard would). He's most effective when he has exactly the kind of players around him that he likes and at the moment is alost certainly missing Walcott and Ramsey. He also suggested that he'd be a good player in the Premier League if he was at a club he wanted to be at (like Werder Bremen and Real Madrid previously), but he was desperate not to leave RM and couldn't give two hoots about Arsenal, but was sacrficed to make room and money for Bale. A spurs fan tweeted earlier today, "Thanks for the Special Relationship @RealMadrid, you nearly fooled us with the Ozil transfer"
  23. ..and Nick Easter and David Flatman
  24. It's worth mentioning that Dulwich College are through to the Semi-Final of the Nat West Cup (formerly the Daily Mail Cup). After winning it for the past two years, to get this far in the tournament with a completely new group of players is pretty incredible. For those that don't know, the Nat West Cup is the national school's cup- meaning DC are acknowledged as the best Rugby school in the country.
