The use of "this one" to describe the other person (boyfriend or girlfriend usually), animal or thing in a person's facebook selfie/status, when keeping you up to the second informed of their activity. I am a left wing Labour supporter. But I am glad Osborne is in charge of the Standard. Hopefully it means May will have some meaningful and effective opposition (on brexit at least), even if it is in the media and not the commons. It's not a time to hold on to former impressions of people (I was a Corbyn supporter to start with) and the likes of Osborne, Blair, Campbell etc., while odious in a previous incarnation are now the ones making the noises I want to hear.

I'm a commuting and free time cyclist and I agree wholeheartedly with Dulwich Londonder here. If a cyclist cycles down the inside of a large vehicle clearly indicating to turn left, they are asking for trouble. Large vehicles have blind spots. If they indicate early enough before turning and can't see anything in their nearside mirrors, there's nothing else they can reasonably be expected to do. They don't want to knock cyclists over, the post-trauma of doing so would be horrendous. Cycle deaths on London roads would be greatly reduced if cyclists followed that simple rule. Hang back until the vehicle has turned left as it has clearly indicated to do. Whether it's out of ingorance of the dangers or just plain impatience, i'm staggered that cyclists still do this. Add 10 seconds to your journey folks to potentially save your life. The cycling agenda would be furthered a lot quicker if some cyclists could accept that some other cyclists are a menace to themselves and others (this is a general point based on experience rather than a dig at anyone specific- please don't think otherwise). I can't help thinking that focus groups with cyclists, car drivers, pedestrians, bus drivers, delivery drivers, other HGV drivers, Police, Ambulance drivers etc coming together to try and work out how to make the roads safer for everyone, would be an excellent starting point.

What has she done to make anyone believe she'll be the moderating hand on the arm of Trump? I'll be delighted if i'm wrong, but from what i've seen she's sucking up to him to try and get a favourable trade deal post brexit.

If something isn't fair don't moan, just quietly accept it. The London Living Wage isn't specific to certain industries (your comment re- service level salaries). If service level salaries are below the LLW then they are too low, and if workers in one service level industry protest and make change, then hopefully others will feel empowered to do so. Any small change that makes the world a fairer place is worthwhile.

Was the original posters aim to leverage some of her frustration by frustrating the EDF with the most annoying thread possible?

Am trying to get to as many end of season games as possible. Was there for the late equaliser against Leatherhead on Tuesday and will be there again cheering them on tomorrow after watching Spurs v Watford in the Flying Pig. Expect i'll be in bed by about 8!
