  1. As I am still receiving little post and was still unsatisfied. This is what the Royal Mail CEO office told me to do. "Thank you for your email. I am very sorry that you remain unhappy with the response provided to your complaint. Your complaint is already with the Chairman’s office, and senior staff are aware of the issues. My colleagues and I are empowered to respond to customer contacts on behalf of the CEO and board members. The manager covers deliveries for the SE22 postcode area. Whilst I am unable to go into the specifics of coverage and operational organisation, I can assure you that your particular walk or address are not being unfairly targeted or affected by the current challenges. We are doing all that we can to minimise the impact of the industrial action on our customers. This involves a number of strategies and solutions which are employed across the country, and depending on the area. Should you remain dissatisfied with the response, you may wish to have your case assessed by the Postal Review Panel. They can be reached by emailing [email protected] – take care to ensure you quote the reference number from the top of this email should you choose to contact."
  2. So the ceo office is denying being contacted in last weeks by myself and others on here? What did Helen Hayes say, she didn't bother to respond to me?
  3. Yes. I thought that was strange too, the before graphics are wrong, they should be as they are now!
  4. I have contacted Royal Mail CEO here is response " Regrettably, due to the ongoing industrial action, the Delivery Office are unable to fully cover all of the walks within their remit. This results in a backlog of mail which must be cleared. However, in order to most efficiently minimise the impact on our customers, rounds are looped to ensure that no particular walk is without a delivery of mail for too long a period of time." Royal Mail are blaming CWU but we know full well that this has been going on long before the Industrial action. Still waiting for a response from Helen Hayes MP. Really needs more people to complain if anything is to be done about this. Complain to this address:- [email protected]
  5. Outside hairdressers at Dulwich Village junction. They are in a wonderful position closest to all the displaced traffic on Dulwich Village. I cannot imagine why anyone would want to sit there.
  6. It's awful, recycled tat from a temporary structure in Dulwich Picture Gallery, Looks what it is, cheap and nasty.
  7. They have worked in the area for years, selling dusters and other cheap tat. Yes, they are insistent and very sweary and aggressive if you don't buy. Cannot see link with burglaries though? Our neighbourhood Police Team gave this advice: "regarding “the area increasingly being targeted by hawkers selling stuff from massive backpacks that they carry and them being threatening and being abusive and aggressive”. We (SAFER NEIGHBOURHOOD POLICE TEAM) have increased our foot and mobile patrol in the area recently. We are aiming to stop them and deal with any apparent and alleged offences. I would advise you to call 999 if they become threatening and abusive and aggressive toward the residents as it clearly counts as public order offences. This would help us to stop and identify them and collect evidence while they are still in the area. Kind Regards, PC ADHIKARI – 2208AS"
  8. The same last Thursday week when I went past. What an absolute waste of water.
  9. The sandy bit circling the park is for horses! Horses have used the park for "donkeys" years, from Dulwich Stables and the Police Station. They visited more frequently in the past, but riders are put off by all the off lead dogs. The area for exercising dogs off lead are clearly marked and under used.
  10. You can drop off and collect but you still have to enter your reg in machine inside, or you will get a fine.
  11. Just wanted to say that Thunderblue aka Michael is a really nice chap. He does absolutely loads of voluntary work for the community particularly in Nunhead. At the start of the pandemic he was first out of the block delivering prescription medicines for Krystals pharmacy, free of charge for those elderly and vulnerable that could not get out. He also escorted an Elvis impersonator all around the streets of Nunhead to cheer people up and raise money for charity, when we were clapping for the NHS. His post is a genuine effort to let people know about these alarms in case they wish to get one. The most generous, kind and charitable person you are ever likely to meet.
  12. I also have access to census returns for any look ups. It's not always straightforward looking up inhabitants of a house as street numbering changes over the years. Particularly after WW2 where whole streets were renumbered due to the missing houses!
  13. Make sure you put complaints in writing to them by post and e-mail. Ask THEM what they intend to do to rectify errors and ask for compensation for time wasted and inconvenience. Take a look at Trustpilot there are loads of people saying the same as you in last 48 hours alone!
  14. I had someone similar visit, his laminated card said "Hawkers Association" or similar. I was polite but shut door on him, but I could still hear him shouting abusively outside.
  15. You need to be really careful researching a particular house, as street numbering changes over time. Many of Southwark's streets have been renumbered, especially after the war as so many buildings were lost. I see from Google earth that 19 Barry Road has a name, so try looking for the name of the house on the census rather than the number, as the house name or terrace was often recorded.
  16. May seem a strange question, but have you checked the guttering? The last leak we had was caused by the guttering being blocked which caused the rain water to travel through any little holes in brickwork, rendering etc to the ceiling inside.
  17. The back of the woman in the photo whose dog attacked in Dulwich Park is nothing like the woman that I see who walks 2 white staffies through Dulwich Village and Half Moon Lane. She is much slimmer with shorter and straighter fair hair, she walks very quickly, the dogs must be quite old I have seen them around for years. She is always on her own and always has them on leads, she used to tie them up outside the newsagents in DV when she went in for a paper. Perhaps two women walk two white staffies round the area?
  18. I saw it drop off on East Dulwich Grove from what looked like a classic car? I have taken it home with me. PM me for details if you think it's yours?
  19. Had you thought about applying for a PO Box No from Royal Mail?
  20. Hello In 1911 Alexander Henry Clark lived there with his wife Annie and children Violet and Victor, he was 43 and a clerk born in St Pancras. Walter Sidney Fentum age 29 and his wife Emily Mildred nee Barlow, and daughter Emily Annie lived at 119 Crystal Palace Road in 1911. Hope this helps?
  21. I would not recommend managing yourself nowadays especially a block of flats. There are so many laws, rules and regs to keep to, and you would have to keep up to date with any changes which are easily missed if you are not a registered agent. You would also need a bank account that would need to be administered and register with Companies House. Plus if anything goes wrong you risk legal action.
  22. Ask the Managing Agent for copies of the invoices, they are obliged to let you have them.
