Booster for housebound problems
Broadbean replied to dresswaves's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I rang my GP surgery for my mum as she hadn?t heard anything either and she would have normally have been given her flu jab by now at home also .The surgery said it is been dealt with by The Tessa Jowell Medical Centre and they are doing flu and covid boosters together, but are having problems getting supplies of the covid vaccine and dont know when they will be able to get some . I decided to take my mum to a walk in clinic for her covid vaccine yesterday because of this and it wasn?t easy ,so understand your dilemma . -

You could try keeping her in just one room for a few days so she can adjust to her new environment and let her explore the rest of the house gradually so she doesn't feel to scared and give her plenty of places she can hide in like cardboard boxes so she feels safe and can get used to you in her own time . Good luck , she will get used to everything in her own time .

We used to have them in our garden and lots of them about 15-20 years ago as most people had metal railing dividing their gardens so they were able to move easily from garden to garden , but as people started putting up solid wooden fences they gradually disappeared . They were great to watch at night as they came into the garden to eat all the slugs and snails .

former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
Broadbean replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi James , If the gritters have not been in the Dulwich area can you not question why this is as the roads and pavements are terrible . The roads around schools used to gritted in this area even if others didn't , but that isn't even happening. -

Disabled Parking @ for Peckham Rye Park cafe
Broadbean replied to gabys1st's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I agree ,I use to take my mum there for a coffee as it was easy for her to get out in the old car park as she is elderly and has mobility problems. She would enjoy looking out onto the common watching everything going on , but it is now too far for her to walk to the cafe from the new car park and it is very small too. -
It could be a cherry plum tree as they are fruiting at this time of year.

Cat killed at corner of Dunstans and Crebor
Broadbean replied to holwil86's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
You could place the cat in a box or blanket and keep it safe in a shed for the night then take it to the vet in the morning to see if it was microchipped to try and find its owner. -
This male un neutered black cat has been visiting our garden for quite a while now and stays for hours sleeping on our garden bench .He has a wound on his back so am concernered for his welfare but he doesn't allow me to get too close , we are at the top end of Upland Road so am wondering if anyone knows who he belongs to .
