I'm on the receiving end of this right now, can't put my arm down due to the guy next door spreading out with a magazine and attempting to amuse his girlfriend. Can't be due to genital size by the look of it.
  2. Had something that sounded like that a few years back and eating seemed to perpetuate it. As suggested by an earlier poster, I had some time on water only, then plain boiled rice and mint tea. I'm sure you're a sensible kind of person and taking care of yourself already, but major rest also played as part to give it all a chance to recover. Hope you feel better soon.

You can make the scale as extreme as you like if your objective is to mock the OP, but if the context is dropping someone off at North Dulwich station in the morning I think most people could understand that it seemed aggressive to them!
  4. Can anyone recommend a good divorce lawyer with experience of civil partnerships, abusive behaviour by a partner and child custody? Not for me and doesn't need to be local - just trying to help someone who's suddenly found themselves in a difficult situation. Thanks for any suggestions.
  5. Good point, ianr. What is your relationship with the tutor (apart from posting messages on this forum)?
  6. Have to say it sounds pretty aggressive to me, and most people are capable of showing a bit of restraint when children are present, but I guess he must have felt provoked in some way.
  7. Excellent - if the band plays reggae you can just stand at the back and ting.
  8. On the way to work this morning I noticed the empty shop near the chemist had the name Jigsaw above it and I wondered if it was another shop using the same name. On the way home tonight it was all set up and full of clothes. Did anyone know this was coming. It may inject new life into that small parade of shops. Quite excited.

Luckily the course worked. Mainly because a day among basket cases tends to put things in perspective.
  10. The responses do seem overwhelmingly negative though. I gave up on them about three years ago after several years of bad service as it became clear they are running it mainly for profit. At best it feels like a triage centre and, aside from the stress that goes with not being able to get an appointment when you need one, it troubled me that they were totally unable to look beyond the most obvious symptom to a more holistic view. You need your GP to take the context and history into account. The surgery I moved to is a delight.

  12. Simon, apologies for the personal question but is Orchard your real name? It's perfect for someone who designs gardens.

  14. It's a fascinating theory. What would be the motive? If it's to use for terrorist purposes, surely there would be an easier way to steal a plane?
  15. Don't know if this is any help but the last time I went down that way I got the train to Exeter and picked up a hire car there, which was much cheaper, particularly if you have a railcard.

Why wasn't this questioned? I'm clearly no expert but when I did a nervous flyer course a few years back they said that for safety purposes they're always required to carry more fuel than they need.
  17. Were you expecting some?
  18. Fine if it's in the business section...
  19. I know someone who did the same thing to an uncooperative self-assembly cupboard from IKEA. He took it back and said it was like that in the box. They gave him the money back.
