Have you ever been to East Grinstead (I have) It NEEDS to offer cheap tickets as it's a sh*thole of the highest order Apparently it's dead cheap to see films in Calcutta, plus they make a banging ruby I hear Yeah, way cheaper that DPH I actually miss watching free films through the Redifusion shop window at night

Much respect to Jah and his comments, what with him being a Spurs fan and all that I'm very happy as a Gooner to see our club win so decisively yesterday. I'm also glad it's a London club and only wish I could have taken my son to the parade As for this ball achingly knocking of other clubs, FFS enjoy the moment & grow up. It's a beautiful game that needs teams to play it
  15. I like it personally, the blackness, the fly posters and the awning. Though im my heart i'm torn between this and the chinese chipshop behind the old Police station Though this prime location you speak of would be ideal for a Pop-Up cup cake store When the current owner is dead enough, i'm sure you'll get first dibs
  16. I think the 'Old School' ED trail would partly consist of the following A visit to the Nunhead bakery shop place. It's an institution and deffo old ED to its roots. Buy a loaf, a white loaf that is and while you're at it peruse and sample the industrial margarine laden baked goods. The last time I was there a lady was calling someone a cnut down the phone, whilst ordering a sandwich and holding her son. Quite the multi tasker Then off to that fismonger. Again deffo old ED to it's roots You'll not miss the shop, it's the one with the corroding freezer and day-glow stars with 'offers' in stuck everywhere. Peruse the frozen selection of crab claws and lobster tails, which are neither crab claws or lobster tails in reality. Cast your eyes over the often sallow and listless fish on display. Buy a jar of cockles or a tub of defrositing 'fish food' prawns Then head to Kebab & Wine if your still hungry. It's old ED's oldest Kebab & Wine outlet, so it must be good I think that's probably about it for day one. I'm sure though that there's some other gems to be explored, catch them while they're there. Things are moving on a pace in ED (and Nunhead) You'll probably have a tear in your eye by the end, finding yourself asking the inevitable "Why can't all the shops in ED be like this" It's a question I often find myself asking too

  18. A few good strategies to adopt 1. Have a hot and a cool/safe zone on your grill. Either burn the coals up in the middle, then push to one side. Or have coal on two sides, with a zone in the middle. That way you cah have radiant or direct heat. If you've bought a Webber then there's baffles provided for this method 2. Buy a Webber chimney starter & some non-petro chemical fire lighters. Even better, buy English charcoals and start these with paper in the grill. If you adopt this method, then light the coals from the top, as charcoal burns better across and down. When white/grey ash is across the coals, you're good to go 3. Buy a few cheap grill racks from those ? shop places. Then lay up the stuff you want on these, then place them onto the grill. That way you can manage the stuff on there better. It's also a good way to strategise the cooking of batches of food 4. A metal tray in the grill pan with water in can help too, if you've a lid. This provides a bit of moisture into the cooking environment 5. Generally I reckon it's best to but the largest BBQ you can fit into your allocated space. More space to play with the heat is good 6. Be Co2 aware, read about this on-line re BBQs Lastly, learn to fekkin cook 😃 Ps. I don't have a Webber, but it's a decedent bit of home BBQ kit

Mind you I don't use Nero (eww, too many sales reps on nasty company laptops)or any of that ilk They 'the coffee shops' positively encourage it and hand you a password when you ask I'm gathering the op is jealous of those liberated from the classic office set up Ha
