I know a few farmers, nice as they are they're not that progressive Check out Fosse Meadows. Nice chickens, reared well, great flavour
  3. Hisar for meat is serviceable But really, the Tarma & the Humus is pretty low grade gunk So it's ok, but i'd not go out of my way to eat there The Mangal place in Camberwell is better, tho a little salt heavy last time I ate there It's hard to beat Green Lanes for good Turkish food, or up by Hackney Empire Possibly due to more competition and comunity
  4. Foxy You're ignoring the Elephant (leg) in the room here
  5. Riding on the cable car in Greenwich today Doing it in the high wind made it somewhat interesting/scary Yikes!
  6. And the UK is the biggest consumer Maybe turn your amazing detective spotlight on Kebab 'meat' prodution Foxy You know that minced up Elepahant leg product in the widow, going round and round, hot cold, day after day That'd make an interesting story, then see how many of the Kebab joints drop thier suppliers on this one Oh hold on, they already know what's in it do they? NO!

  16. Great write up on the place. I remember Mrs S and myself spending a fair amount of time 'energetic dancing/elevating our minds' down there in 1998-2000. Basement Jacks used to run a night, the fliers were photocopied in black & white and it was ?2 to get in The pub is now a Tesco (or simular) but I still remember watching a few of the locals drinking Guinness at the bar, by 2 am they'd be thoroughly sauced. They'd be sat there trying to make sense of the place as it went mental to some of the best house music i'd ever been privvy too The bogs were often overflowing, with bottles and loo roll stuffed in them, not something i've seen since It was pretty sketchy down that way, in an unloved and grimy way. But fond memories

  18. I'd like to think i'd do something meaningful with them But then, had I not tipped a chemistry set into my head for a good few years, then maybe i'd not be doing what i'm doing now So, erm... maybe I did do something 'meaningful' back then I never liked Prawn cocktail Skips tho
