  1. That's the one I'm intrigued by the juice bar Thanks
  2. As dull as they are, the Vauhall Zafira I hired was spot on Add a "Kids on Board" sign in the back window and job done
  3. Miga There's one place i'm keen to find. It's an indian/sri-lankan place that opperates out near Peckham station. It sells take away wraps/kebabs in the evening Any ideas ?
  4. Miga I too love a good Kebab But a good Kebab is a rare thing, just don't see why the big guns like KFC & McD's get slated & the local shite mongers get blindsided But in the world of dirty food, that KFC thing above does have a certain 'sexyness' to it
  5. Ok let's seperate food hygiene from the equation If McDonald's sold a product that was at best 'misleading' then they'd be rightly pilloried But Kebab shops which sells a non-lamb "Lamb Doner" is ok because the sell Shish when you're pissed Ok, I see. But support that deception and then lash out at new business doing an honest job, because you don't like change/what they might stand for, is all fine and dandy Tragic
  6. But is it Lamb in the "Lamb" dona at Kebab B&W and the other local vendors? Or as the articles seem to point out, something else completely I'd be interested to know, as we wouldn't want anyone local hoodwinked into parting with ?6, even if they've been drinking all day or not Maybe it should be re named as a "any old meat doner"
  7. Shock horror "Lamb Doner" doesn't usually contain Lamb http://www.independent.ie/life/food-drink/food-news/no-horse-but-its-not-lamb-either-whats-really-in-your-donner-kebab-30457005.html Admitedly this is an Irish Indi article, so things MIGHT be completely different over here But I doubt it Please Sherlock Fox , could you investigate what the local business Kebab shops use, specially seeing as Mc Donald's are not local to ED

  9. I'd opt for the Touran anyday Think German tech here
  10. You have read Eric Schloser 'Fast Food Nation' haven't you There's lots more to be "shocked about" in there And in their defence McDonalds along with other try to maintain product continuity. From what I remember the sugar/starch content in a spud changes during the year, so when fried so does the colour, so part of what 'they' do is for cosmetic reasons. As for the burger, it's all beef. But from the tip of the tail to the lips is all considered as "Beef" . Much of it 'rendered' Make of that what you will, it's been going on for years. Schloser's book outlines all this very well Old news really & you might want to look into what goes into one of those minced lamb 'elepant leg' Kebab things, the ones that go round and round and round each day and night, turned off turned on, reheated again and again. You know the ones, like they sell at the beloved Kebab & Wine How do you think 'they' make cheap food that stands up to treatment like that? Maybe you could ask them in Turkish *They being the fast food industry

    Scooter help

Scooters are great, BUT it's other drivers that aren't Take a road awareness course (there's a place at Bell Green that runs them) I loved mine, but after being taken out twice by careless drivers, I quit

I'm with RosieH on the whole subject, Hispers or their ilk don't irk me Infact I think the world has become a better nicer place with the addition of said "hipsters" On the whole they're the least offensive people i've come across Not seen many coffee shop showdowns, if any Or a fixie bike clash

  16. Then later Foxy's water tank falls through the loft and down his hallway, killing him dead Louisa his widow chokes on a frozen something or other at Foxys wake, falling down the cellar stairs, she flops into a chest freezer and the lid slams shut Dodgy wiring that Fox has installed causes the houes to burn down to the ground The land is sold to Franca Manca who keep their bins on it
  17. So fresh veg is no better than frozen? Fresh meat vs frozen? And Italy is so wrong over fresh pasta? I'm actually sitting here eating "that fresh pasta" You two are proper muppets Fodder for the shops you use Ha ha !
  18. Oh f*ck really, you can't tell the difference in texture between fresh and dried pasta? You must be kidding Fox Really really really, no really! But then your thing on charcoal kebab taste is so out of synch with reality, i'm not suprised at your sillyness here Press death button please
  19. But his RCD device kicked in, thankfully And they all lived happily ever after What a great ending Or was it?
  20. The head chef at TFP went back to Canada to open a simular place with his brother Since then the owners have employed the run of the mill knock-it-out kind of chef So the food offer has suffered accordingly. To do BBQ you have to be wholly engaged with each and every process

I spent a ?5 in the new pasta place, got home and put it all toghther.
