PGC Make your own, it's a thing of joy The River Cottage (smoking and curing) book has a simple fridge method I'm so smitten, im buying a proper slicer an' all that I've also got a Bacon Cookbook, which tells you how to make 'Buffins' (bacon muffins) Fekkin joy of joy

You'll regret this one DC I've had to retro purchase Dandy & Beano's I feel the same about my climbing kit ????'s, still hang on (scuse the pun) to it tho
  3. There's not much Bacon doesn't go well with Even when added to more Bacon, it's delicious I've even seen it crisped, then used to stir a Martini And who doesn't love Bacon/Cheese on Toast? Hm...:)
  4. It's a huge part of my life and i'm endlessly facinated by it's magicial alure Wrapped over the Turkey at Xmas, or around a sausage, in a sandwich, and more. Oh and Bacon Jam too I'm home curing some belly pork at the moment, but i've discovered some very good streaky smoked and back stuff at The Butchery in Forest Hill And a few cured gammon hocks have been featured of late Anywhere else I should try, for my porcine obsession I love Bacon I love Bacon very much
  5. It's a pretty consistant M.O Money, money, money, talks in cases like this And on listening to a radio programe about wealth, I wonder if the same applies in cases like this It doesn't matter how you make your wealth, it's how you launder you image after So it might follow with deviant sexuality, in cases like Saville and Cosby perhaps, that the image is laundered to such a point, as to be a near fortress Pretty shocking tho
  6. Very sad news RIP Sly

I've not felt like this, watching something in ages AAAAAHHHHHGGGGGGGG !!!! I can't wait to watch it again later (maybe through my fingers, hiding behind the sofa) That dance is mesmeric indeed and the near tears, and the voice , and the bass guitarist has that "ooop, here he goes again" look on his face
  8. My outlaws said something like this on our last visit "Sorry we've spent your inheritance, we're going on a cruise" The fuckers must have read this article
  9. Did I not mention the floor was made of ice ? I skate round after, whacking the midget on the head. With each whack, he fires a fermented Muscat grape from his mouth into mine Maybe that's where you confuse his "forrwars yet backwards" speak Otta? I'm also considering a giant lawn made from Cheese Straws, and a golden mower that cuts it. As it rotates past me, im laying on a sunbed made out of a giant sourdough baguette A lens tied to a girrafe catches the sun, thus toasting my bread bed The mower passes me on its ever tighter arc, and 'clippings' of the cheese straw lawn rain down upon me I roll face down and gorge myself on this delightful snack
  10. I find myself making this once in a blue moon, when the tide of my creative juices are out Take a good oblong loaf and slice along the lenght, and then again, crating an oblong slab Light a good fire of Oak and beech, then lightly toast the bread one side, then the other Retire to a mirrored hall, light the candles and place the toasted bread upon a well upholstered chair Dress youself in a gray fur cotume, then place the many cheeses of the world upon a banqueting table, in a block pattern Piet Mondrian style Nibble the toast like a rat, and using a mallet, randomly whack a cheese. Take the crumb of the whacked cheese and nibble in tandem with the toast It's delicious Ps. If i'm in a more sureal mood, then I'll go for Brie and other soft cheese
  11. I usually buy a Pizza Then cut it into a square shape (with sizzors), then put that under the grill
  12. I've been using Ayres for years, but it isn't in the same league as the bread that the new people make And even Ayres would admit this, but i'm not knocking Ayres or their ilk. However, there is room in the market for different levels of product. And on this one, it's a bit like comparing Keg to Craft Ale What seems to irk the usual suspects is difference, as if this is a challenge or in someways undermines the fabric of the area, even though it's being run, funded and created by local people, who've worked their rear ends of thus far, to achieve their goal Same old, same old, narrow mindedness and boring inverted snobbery
  13. Boiled loaf ? I think you might mean 'steamed' And on waste Louisa, if someone can afford to buy the bread of their choice, why would this be a waste. Or is that bit really saying 'stupid' ? Ergo, they're stupid, but you're smart Pretty much the basis of most of your 'class drivel' posts

Watching Planet of The Apes (original) I notice the 'apes' can't actually climb or fight that well However, the horses can ride up stairs

Pizza 'kilns' (ahem) are all the rage But you can have just as much fun, all be it on a smaller scale, with a Big Green Egg If you havn't got one (or two) like I have, then you're missing out Mr Ben. In fact, what are you thinking, not having one (or two) On Boxing day at #SeabagTowers, mine will be fired up with a Ham inside and other delights And, there'll be homemade sourdough pizzas, cooked in no time at 400+ degrees Duh, it's a no-brainer So, no need to queue at FM for us Ps. I have a Extra Large one, and a Mini one
  16. I'm curious to see what happens when the new Sushi & Cocktail place opens "Raw fish and alchol, what are people thinking?"
  17. Otta When has any of that, got anything to do with sidswiping a local craft business, with the "blow-ins/gentrification" guff What's wrong with these local people, out there setting up business, selling their hand made wares, to happy punters I mean, it's so pretentious and illustrates what is so very wrong with the area I bet you and the other lot are regretting your move to Penge now
  18. Bovine Juice Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Late Knights (who own Beer Rebellion) are > definitely opening in Penge - February next year, > in the Alexandra pub. What the closed down place opposite the Alexandra nursery I feel the words 'blow-ins' and 'gentrification' are on their way to this thread Oh, and a whole lot of happy people

  22. I reckon Louisa and Foxy are an item I'm sure thise that were there were having a SWELL time, looked it to me FUNca Manca looks great I'm sure they're considering a Manze special Pizza, just for you
  23. I think the recent BBC programe on meat-diet etc concluded that; a mainly vegetairian type diet, with a little meat/fish proved healthiest Less that 70g of meat per serving I like to add a garnish of live Bee's, where possible
