Great, we done here now? Next, where to get teeth done on the cheap. I hear Bulgaria or Hungary or somewhere like that -
Wot's Chomsky's view on coveting thy neighbour's ox? Or wife for that matter.

I live by that road, and I'm not a speed freak, but 20 there feels so bloody painful. You get maniacs coming by you going at 29mph, waving fists and foaming at the mouth. Society is going to the nox-filled dogs I say.

When Lordship Lane was actually Lord Shipping Lane, and Spanish Galleons played their trade up it.

I've started to set up shop in Copenhagen, by securing a distribution space from Sweden. We have customers there already. It's just as easy to fly to Denmark as it is to get to Manchester. We're off to Ruplic of Ireland in June to do the same, and I'm staring distribution in Paris in Jan 2018 with a U.K partner who's aquired warehousing on the outskirts. All but most of our produce will be from within the E.U I've also increased our purchasing from Spain, as we intend on bypassing our U.K set up completely in the future. And my business is small fry in the bigger picture. I see our U.K operation as being a shop window/Trojan horse for the bigger business we'll do outside of here. But I'm quite saddened by the reality of that.

Keeping your beliefs out of politics? Doesn't exactly fill you with confidence does it. In fact, I'm suspicious when politicians express thier 'faith', it conveys a level of willful blindness, of which I'm not good at. So Fallon is a lamer duck than I'd like, and it's much the reason I dislike May and her leanings. And some of the biggest hypocrites I've come across have expressed thier 'faith' as some kind of badge of validation. Nah, not for me!

Jules-and-Boo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It's relevant to seek information on serious crime > if it's in your community. I agree with that. But my comments regarding mawkish behaviour was for others who as far as I know aren't residents in the vicinity. Specially when silly knee jerk comments are made or ones deliberately heating the facts for effect. I wish you well. -

intexasatthe moment Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You're right Alice ,not really an occasion for nit > picking . Therein lies the rub, the description of crime as an 'occasion' like it's a visiting fun fair. It's a murder, not something to fish for information at for vicarious pleasure or make comments like "gosh, did I miss the memo" or "Not too stressed to film though.." And I'm not sure Alice's "We all seem to care so much" comment was meant to back anyone up. I suggest you go back to the beginning and read the Met's memo on the OP's link. There's nothing I see there that suggests people aren't assisting the Met in all the ways they can. But the following posts are revealing of knee jerk prejudice in such cases, with the assumption that 'people' aren't assisting the Met Rah-rah heated the info up to serve a purpose unknown, and from there it snowballed into Turtle's snide comment that was short hand for what I said above. However, as I said previously. It's mawkish in my view to seek info on incidents that don't really have anything to do with you, or at it's worst it's "virtue signalling" of which nobody likes to be called out for. And yes, harsh as it is, I stand by my comments. This news you seek isn't a form of arms length entertainment. Let the Police do thier job, and if your unsure as to what goes on, then sit back and keep you 'sympathies' in check, and maybe reflect on doing something useful with them. -

I'm absolutely fine with me, but you, I find mawkish. There's plenty to ogle at elsewhere on-line. If you need more info, google is vey informative here. But you seem to require more details, and passing silly comments on people at the scene. -

Sling your hook, I wasn't talking to you, so butt out. FYI, it's not about limitions, it's about the nature of the inquiry from Turtle. On one hand passing some slightly snide comment about people filming, watching such events. Then hovering round mawkishly offering some kind of 'sympathetic' enquiry about the event. Other than that, nose & ointment comes to mind. -

turtle Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Not too stressed to film though....? Obviously not, what's your point tho? Filming and coming forward straight away are two different things. I'm not defending it, but one thing is that with some of that film, it will end up in the police hands. And whatever our 'opinion' on those filming, it will possibly be useful. I was there in Peckham that day, I saw the crowd as I came out from the Bussey building. I also saw many many people taking photo's on phones. What the fekk people want photo's of a crime scene for I don't know, but it happened when the boy round where I live here was stabbed to death in the street, and someone posted (later removed) a shot of the scene onto Facebook. I can't see why people would want to do that, but that only my personal view. The world's a raw and horrible place sometimes, and we don't always act our best selves. But I'm cautious to judge to eary on stuff like this. The best outcome is the police are assisted in their enquiries, and a strong evidence based case prosecutes the crime. What your opinion or anyone else's is, is irrelevant.
