Oohh now there's an idea The Curry Bistro :))
-
I'm curious why places can't base it on the food first. There's a lack of imagination in the genre I'm afraid. It's old and done to death, all this silly starchy and out of date service. The food can be great, but why does it end up with the ridiculous parody of a 'fine dining' experience often. That model is worn out. I say canteen because the places I ate in India recently are just that. Simple and tasty, no table cloth, but great food. Much of it started in a tandoor, then finished on the oven top. And I'd pay good money for more proper food and less 'faff' action. Foxter, whats with the Chilli Con Carne gag? I'm talking real Indian, proper soft sour (not difficult to make) dosa. Vegetables, chutney made fresh. Fish and more, so stop with you're silliness please. Or am I just dreaming?

A place where you could drink fresh juice, tea, beer even. Something beyond Kingfisher. I think I'm just tired of the old/standard/rut that's become the 'curry house' way. I love the food, but the rest is tired beyond belief.

People like Curry + Beer Swadesh took the + Beer out of the equation Swades discover curry alone is not enough. Conclusion: Swadesh die. Next?

Ha ha! You're a good sport, even tho you 'voted' the wrong way.

I suspect there's a Waitrose located at The Priory

Much as I respect people and their faith, they must have known it'd kill them off. And it did. Mind you, there's probably only SO much you can take in that business, Specially if you're not a drinker, having to see pissed people, week in week out, in your restaurant. It's boring enough being around half cut people in a pub, but in your face, every Friday & Saturday, nah!

I can't see why an Iceland in the hospital wouldn't suffice M&S, in a hospital ? How pretentious!

See, there you go again, being a tit "foolish, stupid and ineffectual person," 1934, British slang, popular 1950s-60s, crossed over to U.S. with British sitcoms. It probably developed from twit (v.) in the sense of "reproach," (1520s, twite), but it may be influenced by nitwit.

Did they opt for 'alcohol free' a while back, or bring your own?

Thing is Cat, you're one of the people who voted leave, who uses a certain language. > "evil tories are chomping at the bit to tear our rights > away..." I've seen other stuff "like children stamping their feet" etc... And it's not the kind of language that engages me in conversation. It puts you into the 'tit' department of the leave campaigners. It's why I told you to sling your hook before, and if you're looking for a more engaged conversation, rather than these "off the end of a plank/over a cliff" type ones, then maybe try writting as if we're pretty much all on the same page. Not in a language designed to annoy people who don't happen to agree with the way things are, or with what's being being proposed. Thank you.

Isn't it a fag, coffee and an evacuation of the bowels I'm often suprised at the early fag thing, but they do often look enjoyable. But fags outside the train station are sucked with a different kind of determination. Those ones kinda concern me more, as there's a needy compulsion about them, mixed with a dose of self loathing. Each to their own.
