  2. Liberal & Elite are getting a kicking over on another thread Mind you, it's been tempered with 'BBC' which is reassuring

Just so I can get my eye tuned into what it's meant to look/read like. And who exactly are the 'elite' while were at it Is it the BBC Liberal Elite who are also Facists? Please clarify Thanks UG

Ok but yes and all that. It's nice enough and I'd go again, but its quite pared back as you'd expect for a ?5 And the pop corn sticks to you clothes. And the people behind and in front chatted throughout the film "She got well upset at that bit, she posted a crying emoji on snapchat"
  8. 'Bad Words' or phrases on here I get slightly fucked off with. 'Methinks' 'Sir' 'My freind' Seriously, go fuck yourself

Yah well hmmm... if you're on a ?5 or bust budget, then it's great (I went today). But it's pretty chatty/basic. However, it is I discovered 'the oldest independent cinema' in the county.
  10. Certain words are NOT acceptable on the forum, cunt and fuck are prime examples This has led to the creation of alternative 'Bad Words' and it's a joy to behold 'Twunt' is new to the list C-nut Fooker All these add spice when used with a light hand. With that in mind, I'd like to compile a compendium of alternatives , to be used creatively in the rough and tumble of the Forum. However, I'm not advocating the use (however creative) of nasty, sexist, racist words, or any other ists and isms for that matter. Please feel free to add one or two of your own to the list. Thank you
  11. Personally and I dunno why, but I felt the need to test out my 9 lives for many years Only in retrospect do I look back and say WTF? to myself. I'm guessing these guys are on a similar tip Still stooooopid tho
  12. Yes she did mention 'great' and 'special' in the first 15 seconds. Which was great & special to certain people, no doubt. But really, two pariahs of their respective continents, looking for a backslap from their respective supporters. May playing to the gallery of her own party. I feel for the Queen, she'll hopefully set a hawk at Don's hairpiece.
  13. Well, TMPM isn't exactly bogged down with dates with other PM's.
  14. I'm good with Little Britain, it feels more accurate and affectionate. I'm done with the crumby & pompous nature of anything else. I'm personally finding it easier to deal with our position, if I cut through the self aggrandisement of this wave of nationalism we're being swamped with, both here and globally. In some backhanded way, I'm hoping we end up in a position based on reality, over our place in the global play that is today. All this laughable 'great nation' nonsense is like an anchor dragging us down. This country is tiny, it's a boutique of ideas and niche products. That could be a very profitable position in itself. But the rest is harking back to days of old, and they're over, the world's moved on.

Oh dear, so it's a European reference More reason to drop it, no?

I usually stick to London, it's seen as a country within a country I think I'm done with the cark of either United or Great. I like where I live, but I'm cautious how we appear to our trading partners in Europe, the London exemption usually sees us through tho. United States.... ha ha really, but no!

Hence dropping of the faintly silly titles 'Great & United' As you write them , they do seem slightly pompous, no?
  18. I travel for work a fair bit lately When asked where I'm from, I've dropped the 'United' & 'Great' from the answer. One woman just laughed when I said 'Great Britain' I think it's the (miguided) size of the English language and it's global reach, that's given us a distorted view of ourselves.

Couldn't agree more, but I've grown to just love how crap is. It's verging on a Ricky Gervais like performance in 'The Office' I squirm and gasp week in week out, and I give him 9/10 for sheer crumby-ness. But it seems we're living in a time of completely over the top characters. Him, Farage, Trump and others are like a cast of a revived Spitting Image. And he leads the Laboured Party, it's tragic.

  21. Legacy is what many are after, it's all that stops them disappearing into nothingness. Corbyn is in a once in a hundred year alignment, so he's milking it for all it's worth. There's a book and lefty lecture circuit to see him well into his dying days. PMTM knows she'll not see it all through, so the 'PM who triggered Article 50' title will have her back on Question Time for the next 20 years, so enough time to write and witter on about what could have been.

That way, everyone wins: simple. UG is right, yes he can smell wood smoke, but where does any post mention doing anything about breaking the law? It doesn't, though you've convoluted the 'burning wood' thing to suit your finger wagging about 'bad' smoke Why not start a 'bad smoke' thread, and flak off all you like on there about it. I'd assume people burn within the remit of the law, else we're all under suspicion for something or other.
  23. uncleglen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > There has also been a very noticeable increase in > the smell of burning wood in the last couple of > years.... It's the middle classes, taking control of their heating requirements Not burning foreigners gas, but English wood instead All very on-point for the future Mind you, once 'we' tie up with Big Don and the U.S, we'll be able to burn tyres again I imagine.

Yeah come on, we're done with trading with the silly sensibility of Europe, let's give 'Trumpet U.S.A' a go. He'll sell us whatever shaped bananas we god damn like, and in return allow us to export Barmaids with thier clevage intact and the 'Full English Breakfast' by the skip load. I'm waiting in anticipation for raft of deliciousness that is 'American Food'. You know the stuff the lucky dudes (and dudettes) get to shovel into their faces on Man vs Food. Hopefully it'll be closely followed by an oil tanker of insulin and Budweiser. Way to go man! And at least we don't get no FACELESS EU FACISTS telling us what to do, coz Don "POTUS" Trumpet ain't afraid to show his righter that right face to anyone, or tweet like it is. And while he's at it, I wonder if his friends from KGB.COM could look into where the missing ?350 mill' for our nurses has gone. Week in week out that should have been mounting up, so it's about time someone found it and delivered it. "DON, are you listening, we need help over here...." 'Hello...over here.....yes the little island off your coast...that's us...3,500 miles away...!!" "HEEEEEELLLLLLOOOOOO!" http://www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2016/06/21/482952581/bendy-bananas-and-barmaid-bosoms-the-u-k-s-crazy-anti-eu-food-myths
  25. Thus far all this is depressingly looking backwards, mainly at how crap things were some time ago, before we discovered alternatives to eating something that had to be liberated from a metal canister. And we're meant to become 'Global Britain' or some cark like that, as sadly it seems being European wasn't global enough. So we're going to isolate ourselves to claw great deals around the world, whilst showing those a few miles across the channel how much we didn't need them (or their fancy food) stuff. Maybe we can trading Opium and such likes again, even get Hong Kong back. I wonder what we can rename 'The Great British Menu', which quite frankly has become somewhat ridiculous already. And lastly, Pizza Express will become Cheese on Toast Express
