And imagine if you could get the ones that stopped voting interested, or young people to consider. I can't I magine what they'd make of it when they googled *Jeremy Corbin Labour Party* It's not the sexiest story to make you want to go out and mark the box, with an X for Labour Or am I missing something?

Photos please and what was the cleaner?

In cycling terms Jez and his supporters are much like the recumbent bicyclists you see around town. They're fascinating and they're utterly convinced that recumbents are the way to do it. And I admit, riding one is fun, it makes you smile, but in reality you look and feel like an odd bod, and die-hards to the two wheeled cause like that. But in real terms, much like Labour, it's a futile excercise. Traffic and hills all thwart the recumbent, if only England was flat like Holland, if only the realities of political inclines and the speedy requirements of life didn't get in the way, then conceptually it would all be plain sailing. And even if the whole Labour Party did back Jez, they still would never get elected. Much like imagining that Team Sky might turn out at The Tour de France on the lay-down style bicycle. Interesting, for sure, but utterly hopeless.

This thread is brilliant Most restaurants need new punters, and there is the rub. So there's a soft opening period where it's usually 50% off, & there's a crowd who follow these discounts and get in first, they often pull strings to do it. It fills the place and kickstarts the business. So for 2-3 weeks it'll be mobbed, by this crowd. Many will know 'someone' who'd been or going, it's how it works. Think about the release of a new film, or art show, some like to go to these. Restaurants are essentially new venues, showing off what they do and the same crowd who enjoy 'new things' go, they love it, anticipate, want to be there to talk about how nice it is. Much like the sun shining after a dull spell, like spring flowers and lambs, like new cars and espresso capsules . Like M&S ready meals and new drinks, like new fashions and babies. People often just relish the thrill or shock of the new. This can apply to hamburgers too. The rest is just gas, and a grumbling resentment from those not getting enough of 'it'

Frozen ready mixed stir fry is naff, we all know that Whereas ready chopped onion *fresh is fine Minced garlic & ginger doesn't taste good out of a jar Much as Dolmio doesn't taste good But ready made pesto is fine Please keep up, next thread "Steak W4nk" where we can discuss the merits of dry aged beef vs Findus Steakhouse thingy's

Hold up now, I totes draw the line at frozen stir fry I mean at least the things I buy are fresh and chopped or sliced into strips, but blasted in a freezer or dehydrated is just too far Bloody hell, get a grip please people We're some way off advocating a Rustlers Burger and microchips for dinner And honestly who cooks rice from scratch any more?

There's a self imposed rule of thumb here at our house If you can make it, then eat it. That is fresh (and often simple) food. However, cooking has gone from food preparation to food assembly. And last night I crossed the line, yeah I did and then again today in Sainsbury's My transgression? Ready chopped onions, in a pot. Just pull the lid off and whack them in a pan, like fuck what was I thinking before, with all that peeling, chopping and general time heavy prep And further, with courgette and butternut squash 'pasta' to make me wonder. Where have you been all my life! I feel liberated and wonder how I'm going to spend all this saved time *punches air*

Eltham town Football ground My boy played there yesterday, it's utter shite There's an industrial type unit as a clubhouse. 2 bogs is a luxury No food, or anything to drink, but there's an Esso garage with a Costa machine The tennis courts there are literally full of rubbish, as is the perimeter of the pitches The Police turned up, because an adult player took a swipe at the ref, "But he ducked and it missed him, so no 'arm done" explained an old 'geezer' wearing a tracksuit and Rebook Classics Funilly tho, the carpark is rammed with new BMW's Mercedes and Range Rovers, and tinted windows galore. The team my son played were the filthiest players so I've ever set eyes on, and now it's 11 a-side they've somehow recruited more. The team manager wears fake Stone island, last season he wore dark glasses during a winter game (big nite out?) But, we beat them 5-2 by actually playing 'football'

Good on you Lou, I've enjoyed Byron at times Last nite was a family invite thing that Scott threw for locals, hence lots of youngsters, and they loved it. I went solo but knew most of the people there. It's pretty noisy, but that's the whole Meat Liquor vibe. But it is friendly to all, if you can take the place for what it is. I like the details, like cold glasses for cold beer. The food comes on trays and is joyfully messy, but if you don't like that sort of thing, try elsewhere.

Yes and it has a vibe, that's for sure I can imagine getting quite wavy in there once in a blue moon I'm reliving my chicken cheese in a bun thang, it's most delicious And the kitchen is good, so they'll be turning orders around in good time I reckon Go, enjoy a local success story. It's fun!
