  1. went to a rave in Lea Valley once....nearly lost my life! Moody. Fun days though. Not dangerous like nowadays.
  2. Ratty I def think that you and I were at Sterns at the same time!!!! jesus, did we really dance like that!!!do you remember the petrol station that everyone used to hang out at after the rave? ha! I went to The Edge as well and I think Trade at Turnmills (altho that weekend was a blur) Snowballs! ha ha.....yes oh yes and the rest... (sshhh we'll probably get into trouble!)
  3. I do not like hanging around the place. It's dirty (clumps of hair blowing in the wind from the plethora of hair salons) and the stench of meat and fish (me being a veggie for 20 years) makes me want to puke every time. The word 'scum' is not relating to the 'people' that live there so please do not get offended on their behalf SMG. I just think it could do with a bloody good refurb and a tidy up. The old buildings if you gaze above street level are really lovely.
  4. Don't forget MW74 the Milton Keynes Bowl for DREAMSCAPE, FANTASIA..... and Lydd Airport for WORLD DANCE...... ha ha ha..... did I really do all that...Oh ya you betcha.
  5. oh and like Asset, not forgetting.... Turnmills Various illegal warehouse dos :)):)):)) Where you come from, what's your name, what you....
  6. oh me God!!!!!!!!!! Swifts- Brighton The Escape Club -Brighton Pink Coconut - Brighton (also known as Busbys) Zap Club - Brighton Top Rank Suite - Brighton (later known as The Event)which hosted Mantra, Voodoo and Storm raves (oh my God) Funky Budda Lounge - Brighton STERNS interdance......I hear you RATTY!!!! Infact DJ Ratty was my favorite DY ever! The Velvet Underground (which is now the Mean Fidler in Charring X Road) .....I'm re-living the past. I must calm down. Choon.
  7. Blackfriars.......63 bus or the drain from Peckscum.
  8. oh yeeeessss.....I'd love to see how it looked before it was all split up. I can't see the link above it doesn't work.
  9. I'd love to stop w*nkers from littering. I'm always picking up people's sh*t from my pathway that they dump as they walk past. Knee-cap 'em I say. Trouble is, I'd probably come off alot worse than them in todays yuth climate.
  10. I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT....great coffee and even better bread!
  11. I went to look at a flat there when we first moved into the area a few years back. It was one of the flats at the front and in the bedroom was the cellar door in the floor, leading down to where the beer was kept. The cellar door was in the wardrobe. It freaked me out a little. All old places especially pubs have their ghosts. I didn't fancy laying awake of a night hearing things moving about in the cellar! And it had alot of the old pub furniture still down there with God knows what else lurking in the cornor. Interesting. It was a bit of a turn off that the girl showing the property refused to take us down to the cellar. She insisted on waiting upstairs....
  12. Hello dearest Forumites, Just a little ask to see if anyone has a few bob to spare to sponsor me for the Asics British 10k London Run on 6th July for the above charity?.....you may you may not. www.justgiving.com/zeina4bowelcanceruk Thank you kind people of East Dulwich in advance.
  13. still nothing....haven't got the energy to ring! same ol same ol guff they give you. The postie that did our round for the past 20 years has retired and we haven't got a replacement. I did collar a postie down the road on Friday at about 10.30 am to ask what the bloody hell was going on. Apparantly the 'morning' post that we have come to expect and rely on, will now be turning up at midday or after! what nonsense. And our old postie rang twice.
  14. okay so now this is ridiculous. We haven't received any post at all for about a week? Any ideas who we can call about this?
  15. I'm expecting quite a few parcels from RM, and have had not a sniff of post for a week now! .....should try looking under the hedges to see if the bags have been dumped. (that's what used to happen when I lived north of the Thames.)
  16. We went in on Sunday and had to wait for ages to be served. The staff were all hung over to buggery and they all looked in damn need of a wash! Sorry if that seems rude, but the lad who served us had his jeans slung so low down his arse we could see his less than white boxers.......which made me want to puke.
  17. Went in this morning for a doupio espresso and was pleased with the thick tar-like liquid that was brought over. Love the tables and chairs. Had a chat with the owner and she seemed to think it was going well. Still a bit of an empty feel in there, but as time mkaes it feel more homely I think it will improve. (I have to say that the only think I don't like is the horrid front door!)
  18. I've just pissed myself laughing.........
  19. Oh goodness, no, sorry benjaminty, no of us drink! We're all tee totalled................................................:))
  20. Enough chat chat chat.....I'll ring the RSPCA about the dog. Don't give a fcuk about the people it belongs to. The dog hasn't chosen to be subjected to a life a grim terror. More action people and less talk about it on forum.
  21. I agree annaj, there are some posters that really make my blood boil. But I can't help but get in on a posting if their on it too. I love to see them re-act to everything I say. They're predictable and like clockwork, it's so refreshing.
  22. very slow I'm affraid.....55.39....not what I expected. Never mind, hopefully when I do more in the year it'll help my speedwork. We can't be too hard on ourselves. The conditions were bloody awful. And if you'd made me trek back to ED,I'd have cried!!! It was my wedding anniversary yesterday as well so we treked up to the Plough for some well earned red wine and nosh! Welldone to Mrs B.
  23. How did MrsB get on? Oh Jesus I think I've the flu.......how COLD and WET did it want to be...crazy crazy stuff.I nearly lost my trainer in a huge puddle. Hope she did good.
  24. I'm sorry but I don't know. He'll prob tell you if you asked, he seemed an open enough fellow to discuss that sort of thing.
  25. We went along to say hi and welcome.John (who tour manages bands) was in the throws of set up. Hours will prob be 10-7pm as he will use the shop to work out of. Not much going on when we went in, but we hope he stays. He's a localof ED as well, which is nicer than having someone from 'other parts' come into the Lane to set up shop.
