  1. So that's why the helicopter was hovering over us and is still circling the sky. Daughter is stuck on bus and says that there were lots of police coming out of an ambulance, at Kings.

South Bermondsey Station, with steps up to it from Ilderton Road, a few minutes walk away from Millwall football ground.

  8. Patrolling, not strolling, and part of the Peckham Rye Safer Neighbourhood Team.
  9. My father is buried in this Cemetery, so we visit his grave quite often and I very much appreciate the hard work that goes into maintaining the grounds etc, but find it absolutely incredible that only two people are employed to do this? (Apparently, the Cemetery is maintained by a private company and not Southwark Council).

Signs seem to make no difference, whether it is park or cemetery. I have lost count of the times where I've witnessed dogs run up to my father's grave and proceed to p... on it, whilst the owner stands by and watches and, then, has the cheek to get into an argument with me about how they've been walking their dogs in Camberwell Old Cemetery for I don't know how many years, without having them on a lead! So much for Signs.(!)
  13. Harriet Harman, in Sainsburys;-)

  18. Power To Detain - Paragraph 2 of Schedule 4 to the Police Reform Act 2002 - one out of about thirty powers that the PCSO's do have. And no, I am not a PCSO. They do have the same powers of arrest as other ordinary citizens and can arrest anyone without warrant if they know or believe they have committed an indictable offence, but individual force guidelines usually instruct them not to use this power. The solution to the problem of this con woman - a citizen's arrest?

  20. Maybe the posties have been frightened off Friern Road by the Snow Teddy Bear?
