  1. Hi Ed, of course! PM me your email address and I'll add you to our mailing list :-)
  2. Hello folks, We shall be playing a bit of touch rugby this Monday from 2pm on the common (not the park at the back), most probably on half of the rugby pitch. I.e. the intersection with Nunhead Lane/East Dulwich Road/Peckham Rye. Everyone is welcome, our ages range from 21 to 62! No experience neccessary, it's really easy to pick up. It's mixed gender and minimal contact with the touch of a hand (no bruises, promise!) Hope to see you there - we're the ones with rugby balls and multi-coloured cones. Last week we even branched out to having a whistle! PRTR
  3. Hey Darren, you were great and scored loads of tries! Hope to see you again soon :-) Alan Medic, if i'm understanding your question correctly, if your pass is already in motion when you are touched, the pass is allowed and play continues. If you pass after you're touched (including if you change the direction of the pass mid-way through), then it is called a 'touch pass' and a penalty is awarded to the opposition. A penatly is a tap-kick with the defending team 10m back. We don't usually play so stringently but it's good to learn the rules as structure!
  4. Hi all, mixed gender touch rugby is on tomorrow morning (Sunday 18th May) at 11am. You'll find us on the rugby/Gaelic pitch on Peckham Rye Common. It's free, just come and have fun learning a new sport! PRTR Peckham Rye Touch Rugby
  5. Hi, yep please PM me your email address and I'll add you to the mailing list - this is the only way we can find out numbers and decide whether it's on or not. Thanks!
  6. Hello! We play most Sundays, depending on how many people we know are coming each week. PM me your email address and I'll add you to our our round robin email that goes out on Thursday to count up numbers. :-)
  7. Forgot to say if you didn't know already, it's MIXED and MINIMAL CONTACT. All the fun of rugby for men and women together without the bruises ;-)
  8. Hello all, We'll be playing touch rugby this Sunday on Peckham Rye Common if you fancy blowing a few cobwebs off. It's totally free as it's just an informal meet up of like minded folk. 11.15 til we get bored or tired (about 1 o clock). You'll find us on the common approximately in between the tree with the circular bench and East Dulwich Road. We're usually the only ones with rugby balls too so that'll narrow it down! Hope to see some new faces :-) PRTR
  9. Do you guys still play? What time/where, and what's the level and bloke to lady ratio? Cheers!
  10. Nope we don't have a car. Anyone else have any direct experience of taking ski carriage in cabs? Cheers
  11. There will be between 4 and 7 of us going to Gatwick around 5am on a Sunday next month, but I'm not sure what the best option is for our luggage, as we're skiing and will have a normal bag each plus skis/boots. Has anyone done such a journey? Do cab firms round here have roof racks or do they attach a trailer? Or would we have to get a 7 seater for 4 people and stuff everything in somehow? Any advice appreciated :-D I usually go with Southern Cars just along from Tesco Express at the end of Rye Lane but have never had ski carriage with me so don't know if they'd still be suitable. Thanks!
  12. We had Virgin broadband for 18 months because one housemate who was already here when we moved in had transferred it over from his previous property... needless to say it was total tripe for nearly the whole period. Kept cutting out every 10 minutes or so, and wireless throughout the house was very weak. We installed Sky fibre optic broadband after seeing it was half price on the telly last month. We've had it since 1st Nov and it's been perfect!! strong connections and fast speeds. I really do recommend it - after suffering for 18 months I thought we'd be happy with any old crap but Sky has blown us away!
  13. Hi Wayne, I'm interested in coming for the first time this month, are you in your temporary home at the moment?
  14. They will add a train to the timetable if there is a business case. The DfT's times are just the minimum they have to provide (as in the first train must be by this time, or the last train must be at least this late). Therefore, if enough people say they will use the service for it to be viable they will consider it. They do have to make sure it doesn't clash with other empty rolling stock/train crew movements or maintenance possessions though.
  15. I'm looking too! Jags - I can't afford the membership Crofton Leisure Centre has closed down (according to SE23 forum) Harris Girl's School only has the badminton clubs, not private booking opportunities The only one I can think of is Bacon's College Sports Centre in Rotherhithe - I've emailed them. Can anyone think of any more?
  16. It'll usually be a designated stop outside the station, so that the bus can drive express otherwise. It should say on the bus stop.
  17. There are some just round the corner on Holly Grove, down the side of McDonalds and further towards the park. They don't seem to be used as much whenever I walk past. I don't cycle in London though so would still need further verification!
  18. On the rocks. With a lil' umbrella, depending on the establishment.
  19. Jeremy, I can usually get a glass of pineapple juice for between ?1.20 and ?1.80. A glass of this in The Cherry Tree is ?2. J20 does indeed carry a premium but still wouldn't expect to pay more than ?2.20. This is not the West End. As I said, I'm happy to go back, just all the wiser.
  20. Definitely more welcoming and the food smelt good (was too late for the free tasters) but ?2.80 for a J20??!! As a non-drinker I feel like I'm being punished in some way! Will come back but please offer a choice of soft drink for less than ?2 next time. (Otherwise I will have to order a cordial. Times are hard) ;-)
  21. I was on one of the trains delayed by said track invasion. We got moving again within 10-12 mins so a job well done I reckon!
  22. EMR

    .

It might just be the person on duty in the shop didn't understand themselves so told you the wrong thing. I was once asked up north for ID to buy asprin (you have to be 12) when I am blatantly in my mid-twenties. I bought 3 easter eggs for the price of one the other day in London Bridge with exactly the same phrase on the shelf. So go back there and demand your extra Ragu!!
  23. Yeah I know, but maybe the way you report things is the same across all the sorting offices? Maybe they share staff if they're busy? Who knows..
  24. I'm in Amott Road and have had a birthday card with money not arrive, a book not arrive, and at least three letters and parcel opened since November. Been meaning to take it up with RM. How did you go about complaining? Did you just call the sorting office?
