I think Peckham Village is the name they gave to part of the redevelopment of the North Peckham Estate and is not the Bellenden area (which tends to be called the Bellenden Road area!!!) http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/house-and-home/property/more-for-your-money-bellenden-road-peckham-london-se15-469889.html http://i.telegraph.co.uk/telegraph/multimedia/archive/01072/property-graphics-_1072894a.jpg http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/2653845.stm "In Peckham, south-east London, famous for Del Boy and Rodney, you will now find Peckham Village. It's the name given to a redevelopment of formerly tough estates into low-rise housing with gardens, but it doesn't cut any mustard with former estate agent Steve Wright. "If you said you lived in Peckham Village, you would expect to find a duck pond, everyone playing cricket and knowing each other in the village pub," he says. One local resident was less kind: "It's a dump. You can call it Peckham Village. You can call it whatever you like. It's still a dump," she said.

accurate is an understatement!!!! last time I went to the drink I was mumbling something vague about the number of times I had been (could not remember the figure) and Mr MacGabhann swiftly announced the exact number of times I had attended... WHAT a memory the man must have!!! Do you think he takes notes or something????? http://moisa-artist.com/full%20diary.jpg

I think that the EDF drinks are a brilliant idea and though I have not been able to make it to many of them since I joined the Forum, think it would be really sad if they petered out. I have had a great time on all of the occasions I have been (about 4-5 in total). Georgia does a really great job in bringing us together... don't lose heart Georgia... we love you AND the drinks (would come tonight but am going to Bath so see some mates run in the half marathon... personally I prefer watching than running, and if I am in a rush find a cab to be a much more elegant solution) http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2007/04_02/1marathonG_468x482.jpg http://www.envoycars.com/images/envoycars.jpg

[quote=2) The one about the bus was asking if there were roadworks on the Strand and where they still effecting the route (i'd think TFL were about as useful as a choccy teapot on this). ] no no Quids... it was nowhere near as exciting as the above question!!!! http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_AQSoFSh8m08/SwKfwH02iJI/AAAAAAAAAGU/mK3NTfF3k_k/s1600/Resize+no.12+bus.jpg http://www.jamesbigham.co.uk/ drawing by James Bingham from the london bus project

yes here's the info... but you're slightly missing the point Legalbeagle, cos that's an interesting question http://www.siliconvalleyhistorical.org/home/the_emergence_of_the_internet
-
not wanting to be too specific Brendan and thus a bit unkind to another forumite.... the kind of question I'm talking about does not need an opinion and can be found in two seconds on the internet... eg Does the number 123 bus go to Timbuktu (oh dear, now I have turned it into an interesting question... try again Charlie) "Does the no 12 bus still go the Trafalgar Square?" or "How do I get from London to Reading" just fcuking look it up, man! why do you thing GOD (or who ever it was) INVENTED THE BLOODY INTERNET (still rather grumpy from the cold as you can see) http://nickharthanbt.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/information-overload.jpg
