  1. I suggest that when he comes... and he will.. to say oh I'll get some money and then get your phone and nab a photo of the little bleeder. Why dont we build a picture as you say and others can add. Here's my starter: Average height with dark brown hair and a bit podgy. No glasses or grey hair. Age about 40. Sayings..."my team is down the street" "Your windows really need a clean" "money up front" Has no gear on him..no ladder or bucket. Character...talkative and upbeat cheeky and disarming
  2. Sounds like the same patter..."Ive been doing all the others down the street". Was he a bit porky with brown hair,in his 40s and a cheeky chappy line in south london bonhomie?
  3. Well the scam guy is a very jolly tubby white guy in his 40s that takes money upfront and then laughs all the way to the pub. He is very good at the chat and knows how to give a real 'diamond geezer' impression....beware! He blags you with the idea he has a team working down the street and is very self assured. I assume he used to clean windows and has found it easier simply to take the cash and save on the actual cleaning part of the deal. Luckily I was too penny pinching to give out the cash but there is one born everyday.
  4. Thanks Mark. hey I stayed past 11pm chatting like a yoof, must be those east dulwich vibes keeping me young. Well done and keep it going ..please.
  5. He came round my place as well..he was very jolly but I convinced him I was too much of a tight wad to pay someone else to clean my windows. Seems like my penning pinching instincts paid off this time.
  6. I'm curious about why you are interested. I imagine that you now live in Matham Grove and have found an old single of this band in the attic or have peeled some old wallpaper away and found an old flyer stuck to the wall. Did they do a tour of the midlands supporting Creme Brulee in 1983? Just a guess Good luck with your search
  7. bogies!!!!!!!
  8. My kids love the sema and over the years of going there we have been happy apart from the miserable boss guy who now has sensibly hid himself somewhere. The atmosphere is always a bit low key but the food has never let us down.I suggest give it another chance.
  9. Havent timed mine but it is a pleasure and cheap: overground to charing cross and then walking up regent st to harley st. So glad i dont need the tube plus getting some exercise in the open air plus cheap ticket...good old east dulwich I say
  10. Up and running near east dulwich station are really good.
  11. Sorry that everyone seems unfriendly but have not noticed much misery on my runs around Dulwich.I usually try a helpful glance which indicates "see you in a few minutes".Have you tried playing hard to get?
