  1. Which local primary uses it? Bessemer use JAGS, goose green use Alleyns. Not sure about Heber and Goodrich but it?s starting to get a bit far away!
  2. It?s such a shame that a school miles away has that land and busses kids in for about an hour a week and the rest of the time it?s empty. Meanwhile charter east have to go past it to head to the Griffin Sports ground in Dulwich Village. Feels a missed opportunity to share!
  3. Click highways to get to the data links showing the monitoring and dates There is data for September 2019 (non derived). The January 2019 data includes some school holiday days so is artificially lower than the norm.
  4. It?s was good to be reminded that in general, Conservative policies like shipping asylum seekers to Rwanda aren?t supported in Dulwich. Interestingly no comment from local Conservative candidates though- like they?re trying to distance themselves from the party they?ve chosen to stand for and are thus endorsing.
  5. This thread has been really interesting- not least for the distinction being made between local Tories and central govt ones. What is clear though is that to the extent there are conservative gains the government will see this as validation of their positioning, so emboldening them on the party fines position, giving them a pass on the new horrific policy of selling refugees to Rwanda are two that particularly stick out. It?s also interesting that the Southwark Tory manifesto stands on a position of claiming they will reverse cuts to education and transport that have been made by Tory central government. It?s easy to dismiss as ridiculous political claims if you don?t support, but worrying that people look at it and thing ?yes, I can support that? without realising that it?s Tories on both sides!
  6. I?d imagine looking at the candidates overall, that if you?re against the LTNs it?s down to a straight choice between the Tories and the Lib Dems. The Tories would be the only ones on the council whereas the Lib Dems have more potential to influence together with the likely other Lib Dem cllrs from Borough and Bankside.
  7. My understanding is they cost way more than you?d expect. There has been a push to have continuous crossings etc without Belisha beacons but DFT haven?t approved. There was some talk of a trial somewhere (maybe Bristol or Mcr) but not sure where that got to. Anyway, upshot is that crossings cost quite a bit! alice Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yes i just checked, that's right. 8. I didn?t think that zebras without beacons had been approved for use in London though?
  9. How much do you think a zebra normally costs metallic?
  10. You could ask them to show you the broker quotes they got and if they are proposing just renewing ask that they use a broker to get alternatives. No one can tell you if it?s cheap or expensive as don?t know specifics or claims history.
  11. Getting very close to libel there Rockets with your ?musings?. I mean I say ?musings? but it does really look like an attempt to start some flames that you can then fan with the help of the conspiracy cohort! 13. If you were a regular of Ahmed?s you?d know that a)his landlord put the rent up to a level that he just couldn?t afford and b) he had been struggling for quite some time since the new barbers shop opened on st Francis Road. That?s before you get to peoples reluctance to go in for haircuts during covid. He really had tried a few things and had tried to put prices up slightly but it just didn?t close the gap for him. 14. Wasn?t there a ruckus? No- I think that the owner of Fashion Conscience tried to create one but really it was pretty much a ?reach? given all the signs were puns on words. She?s been against the closures from the outset claiming a drop in business, but from memory her Grove Reopen group was set up the week the planters went in. So essentially she was ideologically opposed to the planters and has been trying to reverse engineer her position since! 15. Assume you?re advocating for all historic filters to also be removed then Penguin?
  16. Last time I went past it had been marked to be moved. I have no idea why this wouldn?t have been done before opening up the square for emergency access though.
  17. The car club bay should have already or is being moved. It was in the published plans. People parking in a selfish and entitled way may be a harder nut to crack though
  18. I saw that clip rockets. The cyclist hit his palm against the window of the taxi. He didn?t try to smash it as far as I could see- and no car window will smash from that. In retaliation a professional driver (licensed minicab) threw a glass bottle at him. Your ability to frame events to suit your narrative continues!
  19. Well- just wait until the elections and if the tories get in. Clive and Tristan are sure to sort it out. Well, they say they will! I mean, they don?t have any detail of what they will do, and they don?t actually have any powers over the service. But they have claimed that they?ll address it. Apparently claiming you?ll do something and having no details as to how is fine?
  20. Interesting perception but not actually true. Worth considering why you think that? Media positioning, confirmation bias or something else? https://www.forbes.com/sites/carltonreid/2019/05/10/cyclists-break-far-fewer-road-rules-than-motorists-finds-new-video-study/
  21. From experience this service isn?t fit for purpose. They have insufficient capacity at peak times and the process worsens the arrangements for the victims of noise. For example when a hugely noisy party was going on they insisted that they would need to come into our bedroom to test the noise levels (when there was no world where they wouldn?t be a problem indoors even without that!) and also claimed that they couldn?t go into the property creating the problem as it might be a covid risk for them (but fine to come into my house). The ?service? needs a rethink
  22. Ah Rockets- your incessant attempts to twist continue. Not trying to ?undermine? Clive Rates. Just pointing out (many times apparently as the misunderstandings are coming fast and thick) that he is a Conservative party candidate standing on a Conservative ticket for the Conservatives.
  23. Ok- hadn?t realised how deep the misunderstanding was. There are no ?dulwich alliance candidates?. There are only Conservative candidates standing for the Conservative party locally. This isn?t ?socialist pro LTN?, rather an attempt to correct the frankly horrifying level of misinformation / misunderstanding. 350m for the NHS anyone?
