We will encourage you to draw upon all five of your senses, helping you to identify local wildlife, native trees and shrubs so you leave feeling refreshed, relaxed and rested at the start of your day. Parents of babies (under 12 months), and parents-to-be, are very much encouraged to join in. Sun, 19/03/2017 - 11:00am - 4:00pm Free open day for all celebrating toads, amphibians and ponds. Everywhere you look at the Centre for Wildlife Gardening you will find toads. Toad Day is our day to celebrate them in all their amphibian wonder. Throughout the day we will have toad, pond and ambhibian related activties for all the family including pond dipping, quizzes, crafts and trails. We will be running this day in partnership with London Wildlife Trust's Lost Effra project. Learn how ponds and other clever rainwater collection systems can help widlife and London. On Sunday 4th December The Centre for Wildlife Gardening is holding its annual Tree Day! This year in partnership with the Great North Wood project. All are welcome to take part in our free, fun-packed day from 11-4 There will be tree-themed opportunities for all ages including: *tree trails *tree ID walks *tree dressing *willow and clay crafts *tree planting We will even be attempting to make ink from oak apples! There will also be the opportunity for tea, cake and to buy a tree (or several) to plant in your garden. Free family half term wildlife and bushcraft fun with London Wildlife Trust. Join us this half term for a two day course suitable for families learning about how to survive in the wild. Activities will include identifying edible plants, fire-lighting and den building. There will even be a few spooky stories told around the camp fire.
