I called William Dunphy ED this morning. You can still drop off donations, you drop the bag at the door, Knock, and someone inside will come and take it in.
  2. Re:foodbank donations at william dunphy opposite train staion. I will call them on Monday to find out when you can take donations there, as I believe the office is closed to customers. I can let you know.
  3. Hi sue, trying to send you pm but inbox full.
  4. Totally agree with you. I grew up in a large'walking family'and was taught to drop back into single file when others approached,in particular the elderly or someone with shopping. To be expected to step into the road by groups if walkers is a NO for me.
  5. Just sent you a private message.

At least the store is still trading, thanks to the staff turning up every day during this difficult time, not to mention having to put up with abuse and moaning from some greedy and selfish customers! I hear Sainsburys are recruiting at the moment, why don't you apply and see how long you last?

I think they are collecting items at the funeral directors office,(sorry cant remember the name) opposite ED train station.
  9. Sainsburys DKH Restricting numbers into store atm via orderly queue Plenty fresh fruit, veg, ready meals, some fresh meats but not fully stocked.only aisle I noticed was empty was toilet rolls and eggs.
  10. Hi I will be going later, will update. Opening times 8am-8pm
  11. Tesco express, sainsburys local, co-op local etc have always charged more for items as they are classed as local convenience stores.
  12. Lindylou, are you deliberately making inflamatory remarks because you have nothing to do? Do you seriously think that staff in supermarkets cant be bothered to put stock out? Are they not entitled to breaks? What do you mean by wandering about? Not possible that there might be staff sick or self isolating? The staff are under incredible pressure, and your negative comments(and some others on here)just reflect your selfishness and ignorance. I for one think they are doing a great job,and feel sorry for the abuse and rudeness they have been putting up with.
  13. I have been going to co-op LL every other day 8ish and have been able to get milk and bread.Dont bother with Sainsburys, my daughter has just got home from working through the night there, and the queue is back to the nursery again!
  14. There was a mugging in the carpark around that time.

  18. hello, I went to the surgery yesterday as I couldn't order a repeat prescription online. The receptionist told me that there have been problems and that I will have to go back and show proof of identity again before my account can be reset, and commented that its not just me but many other patients too.
  19. Most postboxes around LL seem to be 5pm although there is one on upland road near friern road which is in the morning.
  20. That explains the air ambulance I saw landing in st Francis park around that time.I had that sinking feeling, sad times.
