Is anyone else having difficulty booking Silver Swim sessions (Tuesday and Thursday between 3pm-4pm?) Almost all the spaces are taken before the online booking system opens at 10pm several days before. Last night there appeared to be one space available for next Tuesday. I tried to book at one second past 10pm but was unsuccessful. This seems to have been a recent phenomenon. I made a telephone call this morning but just received a recorded message saying that the voicemail box was full. Am I right in assuming that in person bookings are now taking precedence over online ones?

They wanted £1.77 for an orange not so long ago on my first (and last) visit. Looks nice though. I do miss Pretty Traditional on North Cross Road.

Kelly's Post Office London Directory used to be published every year with a list of businesses for every street. No idea if any of these are still available (libraries or online, maybe?). I've just dug out a 1982 version from the attic but there's nothing to add to previous posts by way of pubs etc. There's a 'Kegs (Beers and Minerals) Ltd' listed at No. 18 Nunhead Lane, on the south side, but I can't imagine this would be what the OP was referring to as 1982 is a bit too recent.
