Possible proposal to close NCR for Saturday market will definately have an impact on both traffic flow and parking. Don't you think?
  2. Good point Bonaome! The survey (if you can call it that!) only asks 4 questions and no limit to the number of entries! Best get clicking then...999,999 to go!
  3. I'm not sure if this information is still up to date, but I believe the EDS are also looking for people who would be willing to stand for the position of Vice Chair, Treasurer, Membership Secretary or Secretary. They don't have a website at present, so possibly this is something they would look into in the future if there is a willing volunteer to help set this up!
  4. There does appear to be a number of people who had not received the survey/consulation letter and judging by this thread, there are quite a few points that Souhtwark Council needs to consider (which was not refered to on the survey!) As I said in my earlier post, the survey can be completed online and the link is: www.surveymonkey.com/s/northcrossroadmarket The closing date for the "consulation" is 5th November 2010
  5. It would'nt take much to arrange for stall holders to park somewhere with less parking pressure a few hundred metres away - perhaps southern end of Darrell Road. I'm not convinced that stall holders are likely to park on Darrell Road and I hardly think the residents of Darrell Road would welcome this!
  6. I'm inclined to agree with you DulwichFox! Closing North Cross Road could potentially be a traffic nightmare. Another point on this is, who decides on what stalls to include in this extended market? Do we get a say on what we would like to see there?

Or Choumert Road, Peckham!!!
  8. Wasn't aware of any previous discussions on this and only received survey this week. Agree with DJKillaQueen, a bigger market isn't necessarily going to improve the existing one. Maybe the extension has more to do with the 40 traders on the waiting list! The survey is available to complete online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/northcrossroadmarket
  9. I think closing the road is being considered although it's not one of the questions asked on the questionnaire. I think it should be left at 20. There's a good range of produce on offer and the small market size has a nice friendly feel about it.
  10. Haven't seen a post on this as yet and wondered if everyone in ED has had a Southwark Council "consultation" questionnaire dropped in their letter box recently re increasing the number of pitches on North Cross Road from 20 to 30 and adding Sunday's to the market trading days? Does anyone have any views on this?
  11. My Apologies! I've just seen it. Thanks!
  12. I have just read an article in the South London Press (Fri. 28th edition) and was totally appalled. Southwalk Primary Care Trust are to make a decision as to whether or not the Dulwich Medical Centre in Crystal Palace Road will open a pharmacy on its premises, which may include a needle exhange service. The pharmacy will open until 11pm. With the medical centre being next to the nursery and community centre, I think it would be totally obvious that a needle exchange service would not be an acceptable proposition. Any comments on this?
