Sorry would like to add, I don't mean to offend. Generally there are a lot of IDIOTS everywhere, on bikes, in cars, in motorbility scooters (which are another pain at times), and idiot pedestrians, who step off the kerb in headphones, texting .... and there are some sensible people doing the right things as well. Thank you.

Appalling post maybe, that's my experience of cyclists. They are joked about in hospitals as "eye donors", how appalling is that, its dreadful !! They are not trained or licenced. They are not insured, so any damage they do, the car owner pays for. They do not have to wear a hat, but I have to wear a seatbelt? They are mostly selfish in their actions, endangering other road users (and their own children in the case of wobbly shopping woman). There was a VERY large lorry turning left at Vauxhall Cross, because it was so large it was taking up the central lane of three, with the left lane empty as that is where its back end would be when it proceeded with the green light. I held back behind the lorry, knowing that I IN A CAR, would be squashed by the large trailer .... who goes whizzing along next to the back wheels A CYCLIST. A VERY STUPID BUT LUCKY ONE !! Thank you.

"My point is - not every paved driveway indicates gas-guzzling, car-obsessed, environment-hating, selfish homeowners" Not every one, but most. What you get is TWO SPACES, that only you can use, the bit on your land and the bit of road that no one can now park on for blocking you in ?????? So you always have a saved space outside your houses ... happens everywhere people have given themselves a space for one car, they get TWO !!

Should have sought out a charity like the National Childbirth Trust, they have "jumbles" and meetings for expectant parents, who then know about the sales ... or just go to a charity shop, or seek out the local women and child (pc?) refuge via social services ... always grateful.

Lidl have a managed car park on private ground - so technically I think they are entitled to give tickets if you have overstayed . Watchdog reported this week on people going for MacDonalds stayed 10 mins over the allowed parking of an hour and got tickets. Martin Lewis "If you get an unfair ticket in a private car park, don't automatically pay it. These supposed 'fines' handed out are merely invoices, often unenforceable, and it's a Wild West out there - many private parking firms are frankly cowboys" Don't know who decides what UNFAIR is !!!

I wasn't here for the last debate. The only decent cyclist I've encountered lately was Micky Flanagan !! I had one car damaged, the rear wing dented by a passing handlebar or brake? Insurance? Another car punched on the way past me, as I sat in traffic, for no reason whatsoever other than the cyclist had the hump. There seem to be more arrogant, pious, rude, rule-breaking cyclists than ever: There are the speedy ones, all the gear, stop for NOTHING !! Leisure ones, no helmet, no road sense at all as can't drive, kiddie in death trap basket, wobbling along with shopping on handle bars. Hoodie ones, off for some wacky baccy, will only ever own a bicycle, no lights. There are ones who don't care if you are all turning left, and they are in the wrong lane, going straight on ... no wonder they get squashed by lorries.

Pass, wasn't prepared !!

Agree with above.

You should inform the police with a description. My dad (in his eighties with Alzheimers) had a man knock on his door . He asked for ?3000 to stop his chimney stack caving his roof in ..... he didn't get the money, the stack was fine. Police informed.

Various varieties in Ayres Bakers ... ?7.50 a pot seems a bit expensive. Maybe one should keep a bee?

My friend had one, its bark was annoying. The grooming can be tiresome, and with pedigree dogs there can be the health/ eyes, back etc issues because of inter-breeding etc ... My afghan was a lovely chilled out character, but high maintenance grooming. My border collie was hard work, demanding attention and constantly wanting something to do !! Drive you bonkers ... best all rounders were a stray small golden mongrel, and a lurcher cross. I would advise anyone thinking of getting a dog, to GO TO BATTERSEA !! You could find a lovely dog, that would be so grateful to you, and not be giving hundreds of pounds to an unscrupulous puppy farmer. Battersea work hard to match dogs and owners. Good luck.

"Wiltshire Farm Foods. So, Ronnie.. When did you last tuck into a lamb hotpot delivered straight to your door? Grrr Louisa." Wiltshire farm foods are the posh bit of "Apetito" the councils meals on wheels people. They are very good. Ronnie gets his wiltshire farm foods in a plastic tray, with an oak tree on a nice label as opposed to the council clients with tin foil tray with an appetite lid, and its delivered hot from the van ... so saving more on electricity/gas. Wiltshire farm feed two old people ?100 per week approx Apetito feed two old people 100 per month approx (if council cut price applies) -
Wood flooring installation in fully furnished room.

Wooden floor - LOVELY, easy to clean and hygienic !! Cant recommend anyone though. You will need to remove as much as possible from the room, it will be quite messy, dusty etc, from removing old carpet and cutting wood to length. You will need to move stuff not from end to end, but from one side to the other side, thats the way floor goes down. You may not be able to have any furniture at all in some cases, as floor progresses and gets fitted together it needs to be banged together to close all the gaps? I have a laminate, its been very good !! -
Sorry for being toooo obvious !! What about trying to clean the windows and when you have finished and the sun shines, they LOOK WORSE THAN WHEN YOU STARTED. Getting home with part defrosted shopping, then when you try to separate the food to cook it, it has welded itself together. My husband, every five minutes : it's too hot, it's too hot ...

Things I hate about summer : Smelly people. Ladies wearing in appropriate clothes, (i.e. grossly overweight in very small clothes, bending over pram Aaaargh... size 32 shorts and boob tube, blubber hanging over where clothes finish). Biting midges. Children in the shops running about when usually (at that time of day), they would be in nursery or school and can be avoided. Children screaming. Just children everywhere !!! I chose the 2 seater sports car, go where I want, when I want option over the joys of motherhood !!

I am not sure whether to report it. Its unusual that its rusted through, the shrapnel case is usually quite thick, unless it did explode but poorly, in which case it still could have a little explosive in it??? Your call ...

Tiny Little Things That Cause You Irrational Rage

I won't join in trying to find expletives that will get through the filter ... From irritating, to making me livid. Limescale, stained tea cups or mugs .. Litterbugs, animal neglect/abuse, bad manners (especially on the road, including bicycles and prampushers) .. and when you are queueing at the checkout and they open a new one and instead of being first where you should be, you are now last behind a gang of marauding pensioners, who call their gang of friends over to also push in front of you, like they are entitled to be revered for living so long ... THEYVE GOT ALL DAY, (although I did say on one ocasion that I understood time was precious at their age) !! -

Lady who nearly knocked door down last night
stringvest replied to twinhunters's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I was shopping en route to some elderly relatives and found someones phone in Morrisons car park. I decided to do the right thing and walk over to Peckham Police Station to hand it in. I stuck a note to the post nearby to say what I had done should the owner return looking for it. There was a long queue to be seen, I waited for over half an hour in the company of rowdy people I would rather not have been around. When I did get into the secure area, the desk officer tried for ages to unlock the phone to see if they could find a number to ring to find the owner, they couldn't unlock it, so I then had to fill in the "found" form. Got back to my car and defrosted food ..... I WOULD THINK TWICE IF IT HAPPENED AGAIN.
