Sorry found Margate very rundown 2 weeks ago and was happier to leave, than to arrive there. The dreamland has indeed reopened, looks like some sort of nailed together wooden garrison the romans may have inspired. Dirty, boarded up, flakey paint etc ... not nice. It would have to have a good fish and chip shop and otherwise it would have nothing. Shell Grotty ??? :-) Like Marmite I suppose ?? ... best wishes.

Avoid Margate, it is like Elephant and Castle !! Broadstairs however is still old fashioned, well maintained and quaint, there is the tiny Dickens house museum to visit, they have Dickens PEN, DESK and LETTERS (and the most enthusiastic and helpful staff you will ever meet), theres a lovely SANDY beach, unlike Brighton, and nice views over Viking Bay and restaurants to choose from, theres windy old lanes of shops and antiques ??? Oliver Postgate, clangers author lived in one of the flint napped houses, and Botany Bay is not far with its chalk stacks ????? B&Bs of varying quality abundant !! Scotland, may be too far for a weekend? But Nairn near inverness is very picturesque, good seafood restaurants, so relaxing its almost boring, but saw a seal in the north sea. Take a coat !!!

Fox hunting is disgusting and should be banned. Sort of person who would engage in such activity would enjoy an illegal dog fight perhaps. I thought it was going to totally banned years ago and replaced with scent following, not get left with this "two dogs to flush out a fox to be humanely despatched" unenforceable hogwash ... how does anyone in the middle of hunt with 20 hyped up bloodthirsty hounds, stop eighteen of them and send in two to "play nicely" ?????? ridiculous. I don't know why the Scottish are getting a say in our stuff, when we don't have any say in theirs. I like Scotland to visit but wouldn't have cared if they got independence, and pay for their own tuition fees, elderly care and prescriptions like wot we do !! :-{ Is Hadrian's wall still there? :-)

I think fox hunting should be banned altogether its an old fashioned barbaric bloodsport. They say it's pest control, but they are not constantly hunting them, they have a closed season to allow them to breed so they've got some to hunt when the time comes. Its not "ordinary" people, its people with land and money who can afford a stabled horse, all the regalia and tack and fancy silver stirrup cups and chalices etc. The people Ive seen on TV moaning that their chickens have been attacked, have rickety old sheds with holes in the boards etc ... not secure at all. They can ban horse racing too, while I am at it : 2 year old horses bones aren't developed properly so to put them in a race ... is like putting a tot in a 100 metres hurdles then having shot because its a failure, then there are NURSE MARE FARMS, where some old nag is impregnated, her foal taken and shot to make way for her to feed a pedigree horse, so the pedigree mother can recover and get pregnant again with the next Desert Orchid ..... BAD !!! Thanks.

And theres no longer the delightful Shepherds of Marmora Rd anymore. There were bats circling overhead and the rats on the window sill looked in feeling sorry for breakfast guests.

My friend did this. They put their belongings in a container and lived in caravan ? Fortunately they had a large side access. Got room for a summer house/granny flat ... could be useful for guests in the future as well as NOW !!

Trees are nice, perhaps they could put small trees in. The pain is those wide cages they protect them with, park near one and you can't get out of the car.

I dropped some people at Kings and had a little wait so I went into sainsburys for a sandwich and bit of shopping. I sat in the car eating my sandwich. The car washer man was coughing and spitting it out. I felt sick. He then disappeared into the trees and was gone a while and came out pulling his trousers up ... I can only assume he was doing what bears do ....

It has happened to two of my cars. Near Forest Hill Rd. Car envy I suspect. Is it a nice car? Have you peeved anyone?

I HAD BEEN TO SAINSBURYS, WAITING AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS TO EXIT. A LARGE RAT WAS SAT ON THE KERB TO MY RIGHT .. IT WAITED FOR THE BEEPS OF THE PELICAN CROSSING AND CROSSED SAFELY !!!!!!!!!!
