Hi Sophie, A computer usually does that when there is a virus or the harddisk starts breaking. Neither can be resolved by a restore, repair or reinstall. I would love to help, as anything you try might make it worse. I have a computer repair shop on Pellatt Road, so you can be save in the knowledge that your computer is in the best hands. My charges are reasonable and I have plenty of recommendations on here. Christian Christian

Good on ya - too many people just look at the price and not at the work that goes into it! -

-
I do data recovery and if i cannot help a have very good business account with an online outlet that is excellent. But as browncat said, it does cost more - about ?180 for a 2GB stick. Christian

try changeing the dvd drive and see if a different works in your laptop - most likely your drive is just gone bad...
-
I guess my previous post applies even more now...
-
is it always the same cd's and do they do it all the time and the same place in the songs? Either your cd drive is going blind or your laptop is busy with other tasks... maybe a virus... Christian

So a decent postal service is a 1950 dream? Well if one only privatises the money making bits of publics companies then all one is left with unworkable sceletons. The royal mail needs the income from parcerls and businesses to make money. We all know that it is not feasable to deliver a letter for the price of a second class stamp across the country! Anyway, i might just be a socialist, which does appear to be a 1950 dream in this money grabbing sociaty these days....
-
Let's be clear here - i am not moaning about the posty(ies)! My problem is with the higher management of the royal mail, the goverment, and anybody else who supported and is using privat carriers. That got the royal mail into this state. Having said, i use privat firms too now and think it's too late to not to.
-
I do agree with you and have now recovered from the disapointment of not receiving deliveries....... Strikes are happening way to often and there should be consequences for people involved.
-
Ahh I see, let's just accept it then....:(
-
Surely just a question of money - and how much does the strike(s) cost?
