Probably died of a broken heart if his husband is in the bedroom having it away with a stranger and he is relegated to the couch. I mean come on, they were obviously practising a particular lifestyle that some young gay men may or may not partake in, said lifestyle involeves solvent/drug use and extra marital sex, it would be a small leap to speculate that this is how the tragedy came about. His friends and family are hardly going to be saying that he died out of his head on poppers are they. Either way he died too young and it is a tragedy for his family and friends, for us it is idle tittle tattle until the next one goes. Do we not demand this life/death of our rock and film stars, Wacko, Elvis, Morrison , Hendrix, Monroe , Dean all are legends partly because they died in their prime, didn't get old and senile and have been therefore captured in our minds as young and never to age.

Is the Stop The War Coalition a waste of time?

What war, we aren't at war. -
Jeremy, I think you probably right so kiss kiss to anyone who has been upset by my comments.

I seem to upset some people with my point about a handbag not being worth a life. As for calling me a twat I thought that was a bit much. If you look in the OED under twat you will see exactly what it means but as your from Dulwich your probably one of David Cameron's toff mates and crap yourself crossing the border into SE15 so I don't think I will be seeing you too soon. As for my testicular size I have had no complaints so far.

Maybe if she had died in the foolish attempt to stop a scumbag the shop could have given her parents the bag, they would certainly have felt a little better then.

I had exactly the same experience with my two children when we were looking to get them christened. I was at a catholic school as a child and an alter boy at the church at which my wife and were married but when i asked about my children they were not interested as i wasn't a regular parishioner. My mother who is an ardent catholic was furious when i told her what had happened and as god didn't want my kids i said i couldn't be ar*ed to get them christened ( this had been an ongoing batle since i was about 10 with Mum). She then arranged for them to be christened at Westminster Cathedral which i thought was quite a sly move on her part as it would have seemed churlish for me to refuse. I have never attended church willingly and dont realy believe in god but am more than happy for my kids to, as it does give them a good moral compass on which to live thier lives and it seems to make a lot of people very happy. Im not sure if they believe in god but my daughter now goes to a Methodist school where they have thier own chaplin and chapple in the grounds so she goes to mass about three times a week and seems to be quite content with it. I had them christened simply because my mother arranged it as i feel religeon per se is becomeing less and less part of our lives as a society, if i was back in that situation again now i dont think i would bother.

I had them since they first came out and they were great but moved to an Android based phone( T-mobile G1) which is far better for pretty much everything except battery life. Vince

Endangered species - does it matter?
vinceayre replied to silverfox's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I read somewhere that 99% of everything that has lived on this planet is extinct. I think we have very little influence in these things but just like doing something to make us feel as if we do. Vince -

Any grocery shops in Dulwich take a cheque?
vinceayre replied to ThinLizzy's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We stopped accepting cheques years ago as a debit card is effectively the same thing and we are assured payment, up until a change in the law recently cheques were technically never cleared and could be claimed back by the banks months later. Vince -
Me and I love it,well loved it actually as I just bought my daughter an ipod touch and will be getting an iphone the minute my contract is up. Vince

Is Kettling A Legitimate Police Tactic ?
vinceayre replied to Tony.London Suburbs's topic in The Lounge
Its a bit like going to a football match in the 80s, you had a fair idea of what could happen and you cant claim not to have know the police were going to use hard tactics then. The same apply s now but rather than going to a footie match for a punch up you go to a anti whatever it is this week demonstration. Everybody knew there would be trouble and lo and behold;d there was.
