  1. They have ‘Deliveroo’ I discovered yesterday evening - never used that before. I usually go and collect takeaways.
  2. I’ve noticed some people have quite small front gardens.
  3. I have old red quarry tiles in my kitchen.
  4. Does anyone know if Banh Banh does takeaway please?
  5. There’s no need to talk about Deux Chevaux - just because I can park my car in my front garden next to my bins.
  6. It’s a Citroen AX Spree to be more exact.
  7. Thanks for the update. Fortunately my front garden is large enough to accomodate a big blue bin next to my Citroen AX. But other people aren’t all so lucky.
  8. Sorry to hear about this. Some people say it’s best to get one of those dinky webcams on your dashboard to discourage people from doing these types of collisions.
  9. It’s at a 6th Form College.
  10. I presume they’ll send a bill or something. The hole in the public finances is stark. I don’t think the previous administration were as open as they could be about what was in HM Treasury.
  11. My youngest son is going to 6th Form College in September- I’m worried about having to now pay VAT on being there as I’ve read paying VAT for going to school or college will start in January 25. He is planning to do a BTEC Business Extended Diploma at college.
  12. Mrs Bob was at home or at work? Hence I went out.
  13. Lovely - the Northern Monk Holy Faith was hazy.
  14. I’m going down the EDT later this evening for a few hazy pale ales if anyone wants to join me - I’ll be in the centre of the bar, slightly to the left.
  15. How often do people get their houses serviced? Someone put a leaflet about house checks through my letter box the other day. It looks really good - for £25 a month they’ll come every 6 months to check everything in your house is working ok and doesn’t need mending or replacing so you don’t have to worry about checking things yourself, like lifting up the carpet to check the underlay is working or if the thermostats dials are moving as expected. And if something needs doing, for a fixed fee of £150 they’ll sort it out (materials extra).
  16. Ironically I think it’s mostly due to Brexit.
  17. Good question - I’ve been thinking about getting a solar array installed in one of the gardens behind my house. I’ve had my lofts fully converted so can’t put panels up there.
  18. Yes, you’re probably right. I have a wood burner at home, maybe I should stop using it.
  19. I have just the thing for crusty white bread - craft butter! I’ve been making small batch craft butter artisian wrapped in muslin and hand tied - I’ll be selling it at the Cheese Block and also at my new pop-up stall on North Cross Road on Saturdays. It’s called ‘Bob’s Best Butter’.
  20. Apparently FM is transitioning from wood fuel to gas fuel. What are people’s thoughts on this change?
  21. Great thank you both - that’s most helpful advice :)
  22. Just thinking ahead to 6th Form options for my youngest in case he can’t get into a local 6th Form such as Charter East, Charter North, or Kingsdale because their published admission number is just 30 each for external applicants. I was wondering about one of the Central London colleges like Westminster Kingsway, City of Westminster, or CANDI - do any local 16-18s go to those Central London colleges?

  24. I can only eat and drink craft-based food and drink like Northern Monk pale ale or a artisan loaves - I get terrible dyspepsia with mass produced food.
