  1. I?ve been doing some helpful comparisons this week and have noted the Red Leicester from Mons is redder than the one sold at The Cheese Block.
  2. Or Rover (it?s a bit like Airbnb for dogs). Just download the app.
  3. Spartacus Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > /forum/read.php? > 20,2270257 That is all about restaurant meals - I'm trying to be compliant with the nmew requirements for homebased calorie labelling.
  4. Does anyone know if there?s a quick online calorie calculator for working out the calorie count for home-cooked meals to comply with the new rules?
  5. I shall tag them in a tweet to ask for help.
  6. Can the Boundary Commission help me with the incorrect placement of my neighbour?s fence?
  7. I?ve downloaded all the Land Registry plans for my road (MG) and measured them with my slide rule and compared those measurements to the actual fence boundaries - I?ve come to conclusion my neighbour?s fence is in the wrong place and needs to be moved back by 1 metre. I went round last night to tell them my findings and and they me told to p*** off.
  8. Yes, that?s true. Though the possible listed status of my house needs to be considered too.
  9. 16:66? That?s very late, mine always have an early start and get stuck straight away.
  10. Th builder also said he thinks my house should be Grade II listed and that accordingly he?ll have to take longer with the wall planing which will cost more? He says you can tell it should be listed as the trusses in the loft are very old - Elizabethan or Jacobean maybe? You can tell because they?re dark hardwood. I?m a bit miffed my solicitor didn?t note this possible listed status during the conveyancing - that was 11 years ago though, so it?s probably too late to do anything about it now though?
  11. Italy were outstanding in Wales.
  12. Don?t they have to pay a green levy for this?
  13. My builder has told me my internal walls need planing as they?re not as flat as they should be - had anyone else had this done? Basically it involves hacking off all the plaster, replastering, and redecorating - and his company can do that all for me, so I don?t need to bother looking for other people. And it should last for at least 5-7 years before it needs redoing (they offer a free 5-year rechecking service too!)
  14. I?ve had to call the builders in again to do some more work on the house. They seem to start very early though - sometimes when I get up at 6 they?re already there in the kitchen drinking tea? I?m not quite sure what time they finish either as their van is often still in the drive even when I?m going to bed.
  15. The plaque people said you can?t just get one when I called them. There has to be verifiable proof the esteemed person lived at the property. That?s seems a bit stringent?
  16. Thanks, but I want an official one. My period house is large since it was extended and Alexander Fleming must have lived too in a large period house in London - it could have been my house, so I could well be eligible to be plaqued.
  17. Does anyone know how much it costs to get one of those commemorative blue plaques on your house? I know Alexander Fleming discovered penicillium in London - and when I bought my house the vendors send someone noteworthy lived there in the past - so I could be eligible for a plaque?
