We used Oskar Umbrasko and his team. Reliable and professional in my view. (They also laid our patio). mailto:[email protected]

I think the issue in EDG is more due to the Dulwich Village junction being closed at Carlton avenue and cars now going via EDG. Cars also go down Townley but due to traffic light phasing, I think more people now drive the long way around on LL and then EDG.

According to this, pay is still lower in real terms compared to 2010? https://fullfact.org/health/nurse-pay-may-2020/ -
bike buddies scheme launched
Northern Star replied to Sally Eva's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi Sally Eva, do you know if there is a course somewhere which teaches basic bike maintenance, including changing tyres, adjusting breaks etc? Thank you! -
I drove through the village yesterday between 6-7pm and traffic was stacked up from the Dulwich Village junction (Before that) and East Dulwich Grove. Not many cars got through at dv junction when lights were green as too much traffic. So to me it didn?t seem quiet on the streets, at least not at that time! I was stuck In traffic for quite some time.

Goose Green councillors - how can we help?
Northern Star replied to jamesmcash's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
They have done work to this junction at least three times. First time they moved the curb by 10cm at each corner (took weeks for so little work!) of the junction.... then they did the crossing and today they extended the ramp (god knows why and why they couldn?t do it properly the first time) Edited to say that it?s great they did the crossing but would be a lot better if there was a crossing the other way over Whately or Underhill too to help kids cross and dodge the traffic & P13 bus on their way to school -
I would love some more focus on public transport in order to reduce car usage.

Does anyone know where the new route is for buses - do they stop anywhere close to the station at all? -

Goose Green councillors - how can we help?
Northern Star replied to jamesmcash's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
James, are the surgeries still open at the community centre? Would be great to see all three councillors face to face (with social distancing) to discuss current covid measures in East Dulwich and also the ones in surrounding areas ( and the impact they have on East Dulwich residents) as well as what?s on the councillors agenda for the next few months. I have signed up to the newsletter too. How often do they get published as I haven?t had one yet? -
Closure is 18 months. Could be made permanent post that following review. rachel.dgc Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Can someone please clarify for me if the road > closures in Dulwich Village are temporary or > permanent? Dulwich Mobile Unit- Drive-through COVID testing
Northern Star replied to Rosebud00's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
It would be the swab (checking if you currently have it). The antibody test (checking if you have had it) is not yet available to the masses I think. Problem with the swab is that it should be done on day 1-3 ideally of symptoms, although up to day 5 is ?acceptable?. And yes, it?s not always accurate. -
Opening up local school playing fields for exercise
Northern Star replied to Jakido's topic in The Lounge
Have checked the sign and yes, it does indeed state sport as an ?inappropriate activity?, in the small prints. I think it would be worth it to have a larger sign saying no sport for those of us who only glance at the sign and see the use is for exercise and don?t read the small print to say sport is inappropriate (To me exercise = sport) Not saying this to annoy, but it may stop others who were happily playing football there today :) (and it wasn?t us, promise). Over and out! -

I WILL READ THE NOTICE. Thank you for the capital letters seenbeen. Very passive aggressive. I asked the question in the post above and now I know. Anyone can make a mistake. Thank you -
Opening up local school playing fields for exercise
Northern Star replied to Jakido's topic in The Lounge
Hi My family has been playing football on the field, using our own portable goal for 9 year olds (Hopefully no one would have assumed we used any of JAGSs full sized goals) Is it against the regulations of the JAGS field to play football? We keep to one corner away from the entrance and my children know to keep the distance to others. Our bikes would have been by the side of the goal as we biked to the field from our house. I am not sure if previous posts have been directed at my family, but whenever we have been to this field, there has been plenty of space for others to exercise too and we have had no complaints. Hopefully seenbeen is referring to someone else as I feel we are a responsible family. -

Hi Fleur, I got a flyer through the door the other day from volunteers offering to help. I?ll follow up with a PM with their phone numbers - wasn?t sure whether they wanted their numbers posted on EDF.
