OMG you're alive!!! I am so relieved. I thought you had been sucked into a parallel smug-married-couples universe!! So all well on the gf front?
Not much news... I climbed a mountain (Kili) and am very proud (and still tired). Also I laughed so much on reading adverse comments made about White Stuff on this forum that I promptly took myself over there and spent an ABSOLUTE FORTUNE last weekend.
Drink sometime? Mikese22 would be up for it... could try and drag some of the others out but they have been strangely reticent.

Tee hee.
Declan, I am quite convinced that no one thinks the same way I do. That is the benefit of being the only one who is ever right.
-
Not a twin. My mother was there, as was a nurse.
Unless you want to get into a tedious descartian discussion on whether the mother and nurse were actually there, in which case I put up my hands and merrily say of course you can only know that you exist. That being the case, I will leave you to your self-debate whilst the rest of us (who may, or may not, exist - but strangely we are not too fussed about that) are down the pub having a (metaphysical or physical - again, we do not much care) pint.

Forgiven!
It was quiet but I hadn't been before and I found it thoroughly charming. Have I missed anything (aside from the White Stuff thread)?
-
I go away for three weeks and some lass called Louise is causing mayhem in the lounge about white stuff (I laughed so much I thought I was going to have an 'accident') and some guy called Declan is going on some philosophical speel about how we are all born alone in a gay drinks thread.
WTF?
Anyway - Rye drinks... I went. Mikese22 went and someone else (a recruitee from gaydar who hasn't even heard of the EDF (*shock*)) went. No other bu@@er turned up!
Should we aim for a Thursday evening instead? And maybe somwhere on LL?

I'm going to try but suspect I may have to work late so was going to join later..

I have no gaydar :(
I lost it when they took out my appendix, although the doctor assures me that the two events are entirely unrelated

I will be wearing a "Hated by the Daily Mail" badge if that helps?
-
Snorky - thanks for the words (I presume not meant to sound like a lecture / condescending). My head is neither pretty nor little, so have no fear.
Thanks everyone for the help!
-
Wow - thanks v much.

Thank you SmacG.
You are no doubt right re commitment. I have a band of merry helpers who are also keen (a Wind in the Willows reference here would be apt but stumped by the fact "Ratty" is already taken - RATS).

Good for me :)

Hello
Does anyone have any idea whether there are any allotments in the SE22 area and how one goes about getting one? Am a complete allotment-newbie (indeed my mother would keel over in shock at the thought of me growing anything) but keen!

-

don't take it personally. I am currently ignoring 4 txts apparently. having a sh!te day :(
-
Awesome well done. Really sorry I can't make it. Have to work late then have to cart myself to A&E (yes - even I laugh at my priorities) as may have broken a metatasal or something.
-
apparently so. where is the SUN?
-
how has this thread not been lounged?
-
Thanks Nikster :) Have a good one yourself.
-
Starting a new thread as "Gay Girlies" was possibly a negligent misrepresentation.
So just to recap - a bunch of us (Nikster, Giddy Gecko, Me, James (?) and MikeSE22..) are meeting for drinks in The Rye at 7pm on Monday 11th June. I think Mattindulwich18, Beej (and possibly partner James) were keen. Sorry if I've forgotten anyone else.
Anyway all welcome of whatever colour of the rainbow :)

Bank Holiday Weekend
in The Lounge

Razorlight were really sh!te Keef - you should be glad you missed it. My mate really wanted to see them so had to endure 30 minutes before I escaped to see Ash :) I was so disappointed Razorlight were headlining - they should have moved KOL up. Anyway - agree re Chillis, Smashing Pumpkins, Gossip and NIN - OMG that was an awesome set.
Impressed with The Enemy, Sunshine Underground and Maps. Also strangely really liked Battles (strange only because not usually my thing). Great weekend - so much so, I have almost forgotten the annoying millions of 16-19 year olds. I didn't book time off work so am struggling with a sore head, dodgy throat and severe lethargy :( I have at least showered since my return yesterday and all-day drink-fest in Black Cherry yesterday.
Groan - back to work.
