  1. Can I be first to say yes. Can I be first to say I will struggle for 8.. I'll probably run into draft house at 805 and still expect a pre "theatre" drink. :)
  2. Post something to yourself 1st class and you will find out tomorrow. ;)
  3. I think they will go down very well. And very quickly.

Just quoting my own post. In case anyone was unfortunate to miss it first time. :)
  5. This should leave me to concentrate on the league.
  6. Surely they played in black and.white. They did on my TV. Rafa's outburst tonight. Hats off to him. He's big enough to tell the particular group of Chelsea fans where to get off. He's only here for a few months anyway, why should these fans add to the unrest at Chelsea.
  7. Good old Danny Blanchflower...the originalstroller

Catenacchio. Quote from Stein at the final whistle May 1967: "There is not a prouder man on God's Earth than me at this moment. Winning was important, aye, but it was the way that we won that has filled me with satisfaction. We did it by playing football; pure, beautiful, inventive football. There was not a negative thought in our heads. Inter played right into our hands; it's so sad to see such gifted players shackled by a system that restricts their freedom to think and to act. Our fans would never accept that sort of sterile approach. Our objective is always to try to win with style."
  9. The public turn on boring Barca.... ? Have to say that although when Celtic beat Barca it was a fantstic night - it was boring watching them play with their own ball 90% of the time with no apparent intention to do anything much with it (until it was too late :) of course )

Passing a person reading the Standard yesterday - headline - "Arsenal have ?120m" .... ? What was the detail behind the headline (did anyone read it) - did it put to bed the myth that Arsenal dont have money to compete?

  12. Agree with Jah. I thought AVB was a disastrous appointment. But he has done well.
  13. You only sing when you're winning....
  14. Golfers like to be as much under par as possible. I misunderstood the rules.
  15. Not quite anyone but England. I try really hard to like England and try to want them to win. My friends, wife and even my children are apparently English. But its really hard. Having said that I think I can be objective. Your team is boring.
  16. So am I. I didn't even know he was interested in rugby.
  17. Yep. Possession and territory is irrelevant if you don't make your penalty kicks. That's one difference between Ireland and England.Ireland need Sexton.
  18. Guscott just said England were lucky with their try. "It was a good refereeing decision for England". AM was spot on,.
  19. AM said England got lucky with their try. Which they did. I think England are a well disciplined team who have a territorial game plan. It works. But it's not good to watch I'm afraid. The French had all the flair but discipline and penalties can win matches, England's current forte.
  20. Many people are very sensible and glide through life like a leaf on a millpond. Never ruffled, rarely excited. That's one way to do it. Others purposefully introduce drugs, alcohol, bringing physical highs and lows. Some people attach themselves to sports teams, through which they live through emotional highs and lows, others excite themselves with dangerous personal relationships, or like their careers to dominate all else. Gliding through is probably the way forward. I think I will adopt this approach from now on.
