  2. Watched Speed 3 last night - brilliant.
  3. It was Mrs ???? who went to Vegas. It was a random golfer who didn't like Mrs Brown's Boys. Apart from that - you are mostly right. ;)
  4. He also dreams of spending Father Jack's inheritance on girls and casino - but then Father Jack comes back from the dead.
  5. I also have tickets for the Cripple of Innishman, in August - yes Michael Grandage series of plays TM.
  6. Going to see Peter and Alice with Judi Dench soon. (not going with Judi Dench, she's just appearing in it) Bought the tickets about 6 months ago and of course I bought them for Easter Saturday, not knowing it was Easter Saturday (doh) so had to change and get charged for the expensive seats as they were the only ones now left. Anyway, I'm looking forward to it. Has anyone seen it?

  9. ah "the Weir" would love to see it. Ardal - I saw him at the BAC many years ago, early 1990s, he was priceless. (comedy that was). I think my wife laughed that night. He was on top of his game.
  10. I don't like poker? first I knew - love poker but rarely comes into my life. Double irony...my investion of "Mrs ????" doesn't really exist, as in she walked from the money - as women aren't greedy like men. I'd guess GG plays poker with the main aim being for fun not money, happy to be corrected by the GG.
  11. Get a haircut.
  12. Women eh. Why didn't you offer her money to play your hand? Tell her to remember that her name is Mrs ???? and money is the name of the game.

  15. We are trying to work it out GG. She doesn't know yet that I'm getting such positive advice from the EDF though.
  16. Watching Father Ted tonight, my wife said..."Father Ted - I don't get it." Playing golf a couple of weeks ago a guy said to me...."Mrs Brown's Boys - I just don't get it" - I thought, what a twat. I can't really make this type of remark about my wife's lack of respect for Father Ted though - what should I do? There is no future if we can't reconcile this issue. Help.
  17. Twitted through the Evening Standard apparently. ooops.
  18. Here it is from the Sunday Times: 99 Dulwich, London SE22 Dulwich is a leafy, genteel haven amid the mean streets of south London. Indeed, Dulwich Village is almost too quaint for the Big Smoke ? it has old-fashioned timber street signs, a tollgate and a 72-acre park, all managed to perfection by the Dulwich Estate. The park is the stuff of Middle England fantasies, with a boating lake, a bowling green, tennis courts and a cricket pitch; the Dulwich Picture Gallery and its elegant cafe increase the sense of refinement. The high street has an Italian deli, but Lordship Lane is the real shopping hub, with a fishmonger (Moxon?s), a butcher (William Rose), a greengrocer (Franklin?s Farm Shop) and an artisanal bakery (Luca?s), as well as a Sainsbury?s and a library. There?s no Tube, but there are trains to Victoria and London Bridge. And the schools make up for it: in addition to venerable private institutions such as Dulwich College and James Allen?s Girls? School, there are good state primaries (Hamlet, Dulwich Infant, Goodrich, Heber) and secondaries (Charter, Harris Academies). Three-bedroom period homes start at about ?750,000; a large semi backing onto the park might go for ?2.5m. For the best value, look in East Dulwich, where a typical four-bedroom house costs ?630,000. What the locals say Our white picket fence needs a coat of paint, but we?re waiting for permission from the Dulwich Estate. Why we love it It?s the closest thing to country life in south London. Where are your wellies?
  19. East Dulwich (SE22) I don't think could be judged one of the best places to live - on the criteria stated ED would have no chance. Transport and secondary schools are both adequate at best in ED. I think taking into account Dulwich (ED and Dulwich Village/Parks) together then fine. Criteria (Evening Standard excerpt) include: transport links, quality of schools, natural beauty, low crime rate, property prices and culture Taking all of Dulwich into account I'd think 1) transport - adequate at best 2) schools - Dulwich is sometimes referred to as having good shools - excellent Private schools serve Dulwich village residents mainly or wealty families from further afield. This will be a very big positive for Dulwich. But state secondary schools are adequate at best - being the Sunday Times I don't know how important that will be. 3) natural beauty - the parks, peckham rye (se22) and dulwich park (se21) are very nice and accessable 4) crime rate - don't know - I guess it is low taking whole of dulwich into account 5) Property prices - compared to the opposition ED offers huge value as against the opposition (eg Chiswick), the Village is probably also still also cheaper - so as against the rest, Dulwich is still good value for money 6) Culture - Dulwich Picture Gallery is a big plus. No fixed theatre or cinema that I know of. I can't see Dulwich winning. Having said all that, I'm happy here. ED is pretty good all round, with access to the benefits of SE21. I only meant to make this short, but got carried away. :)

  22. Loved the Fantasy Cheltenham RD, thanks for setting it up. Of course if I had been in the UK I would have actually backed those 16/1 horses with money but as in SA could not access my betfair account. Shame. Did back Fishers Cross before the meeting started so did get a one winner on Friday. No luck with Conti in GC though. Heard it fell but don't know if it was going well?

  24. Solwit - my first winner! 11/1. (and yes RD, I had it in the fantasy too :) ) I'm still down - but that helped a lot.
  25. Yes - it looks cool Otta.
