  1. Haha...no, it said "do not wash in water", strange instructions I know, but I only read these after it came back from the cleaners. Anyway, even I'm getting bored now.

I wonder how much he kept from the ?4.99 I spent on Misplaced Childhood in the 1980s. I liked that album but by the time Kayleigh became a single I became pretty sick of hearing it. I think I still am, thats what overplaying does to a decent song, you never get it back.
  3. Thanks but my coat is Boggi not Barbour. I don't like Barbour.
  4. >Polyester? Oh dear. >Don't speak to me again. I know - I should have done my research before jumping in. I'm sure its very good quality polyester :) I do think now that it must have been waxed as the spray thing has not given it the same waxy feel it had before.
  5. I know. And it is just not the same now. Bloody dry cleaners.

  9. Ok, to conclude.....it's not a cotton coat so I don't think I can wax it. It's polyester.....so I reckon it had a spray on protection and have bought from Cotswold a spray protection. Have done the deed tonight, hoping it's restored to its original cond...will find out in the morning. Thanks all.
  10. And I thought it was the big house you were after...
  11. RD. I always suspected you were easy.
  12. That's not what I said when I got my degree result.

  14. Cmon Bob, step up.
  15. Thanks Renata. I agree with Cle completely. It's an absolute pain as I work near Green Park and have been used to getting to Denmark Hill easily from Victoria for years. 730 last train is poor. As are the suggested alternatives.
  16. SWIDT...? no

I'm not sure its officially a wax coat. It just had that feel (that it doesn't have now) and rain sat on it rather than sinking into it. I'm puzzled, so am off to the shop I bought it in to ask before I do anything stupid and ruin it. Thanks for help.
  18. Thanks David - presumably the wax is non coloured. I'll check the Barbour shop at lunchtime.

Well, there you go, you are trying not to think about it, but other people are keen to remind you about it. The issue heralded a change in attitude to tip tackling that thankfully referees are taking a hard line against today. It focussed everyone's mind on the dangers of reckless play.
  21. I bought a raincoat that was waxed and after a trip to the dry cleaners its not waxed anymore, it now lets in the rain gradually whereas it did not before. Has anyone tried to rewax a jacket or paid to have it done? What wax product should be used? Thanks. Its not a Barbour.
  22. There are reliefs available to entrepreneurs that are not available to employees so her ultimate disposal of her venture will be taxed relatively lightly. Maybe thats what the government feel "she is owed". SJ does not agree that fairness needs to apply to the higher earners in the same way as it applies to lower earners. The balance of fairness needs to be struck in the right place and to encourage more entrepreneurship.
  23. It will always be remembered as one of the all time low points in dangerous behaviour on a rugby field. Whereever you come from.
  24. I don't know. How many points did you get for me?
  25. I thought El Pibe's punch might not be up to much, but was not going to say....
