  1. Don't know...quite unusual these days.
  2. Have a thermometer (non digital) but you have to time your other items to coincide with the meat being ready....
  3. You can get > 3/1 on Rangers in tonights Old Firm game. Seems very good odds to me, with Rangers being top of the league (although Celtic are prob the form team). May be a good bet for any neutrals.
  4. Hats off to Gordon. I used his recommended cooking time suggestions for the turkey on xmas day and also for a rib of beef tonight and both were perfect. Most other recommendations have much longer cooking times per kilo. Really hate overcooked meat, so hats off to Gordon. Top man, he made my Christmas. :))
  5. Had a "winner" today at Chepstow. First race on BBC, I backed a horse..... dont remember its name but it was a dead heat ... so got half the odds and won some money. Put most of the winnings on the runner up in the Welsh National... no joy. Is anyone else going to post on this thread?

Any takers? City still marginally odds on, United a close second. The bookies therefore have it as a two horse race. Its just like Scotland now. ;-) Spurs being out of Europe might help them.
  8. Is this the start of the Man City nerves ? Big pressure being applied from the other side of Manchester.
  9. Amazing. Long run not good enough. Brilliant to watch Kauto though. He's the peoples champion today.
  10. Every horse is past his best eventually declan. At 11 he probably is so I'm going with the younger horse. But there will never be another Kauto. Noone would be.too surprised if.he won. Also masterminded so it should be interesting.
  11. Am on Long Run. Andis now odds against. Hoping he needed the race last time.
  12. Hapoy Christmas veggies.....
  13. Eat the animals. Happy Christmas meat eaters.
  14. Potentially 1 point in it now in the SPL. Woop woop. :))
  15. Ahh thanks Annette. Such a trbute must have cost a small fortune. You do go the extra mile ....
  16. Declan. I have never thought of you as a footie expert until today. Hope you are right. A Celtic & MU/Spurs double would be good.

  18. No probs Candj But - If I kicked someone for absolutley no reason I'd expect more than a few kicks back, and I would deserve it.

What a poor result.....we this year have UK golfers achieving feats that have never before been achieved and probably wont again, yet we give it to a cyclist who is ranked only 6th in the sports biggest event. And within golf to put Darren Clarke above Rory McIlroy is just not right either.

  21. I'm sure the reason for no other posts on the thread is cos they have all hot footed it to rye lane.
  22. Having seen it for the first time, absolutely agree with Mr Quids. If you are attacked, which he was, then you are enitled to take a little revenge. Live by the sword and die by the sword. As for my bet. Spurs on the drift from 22 to 32....long way to go though.
  23. I would hope to make it too. I love getting out on a Monday. Don't care where it is as long as it sells curry and the company is good (or at least one of those two).
