  6. Very good Declan. :)
  7. What on earth has David Beckham done to achieve his reputation and standing. Neither as a footballer or a man can I see any reason for the high status and respect he is given. There is a Times article today "The Mythical Beckham". I've not read it but I was thinking along these lines recently. It confuses me. Hats off to the guy but I can't see that he justifies any of this.

Hi James Its one thing having an available site - but is there any concrete expression of interest from either Waitrose or M&S that has prompted you to survey local interest? (you may have answered this already in the 9 pages...?)
  9. Some think Liverpool's longer term decline has been down to successive poor managerial appointments. Interesting now that Liverpools's last three managers are either recently sacked (Rafa) or possibly about to be sacked (Hodgson and Houllier). Next up Frank Rikjard, if you believe the bookies. Felt very sorry for Roy Hodgson on MOTD tonight though - he looked very sad and under a lot of pressure. Maybe he is best to start a fresh elsewhere.
  10. I daren't. The last time he was there he scored for Forest.
  11. It was so good I posted it twice. Edited.

Some of us know a thing or two about this footie thing and some of us just don't....:)
  13. Chelsea RIP.
  14. I have posted this before but I spoke to a local surveyor about 18 months ago and he was engaged by Waitrose then to find a suitable plot for a shop in ED. However there was no suitable plot of the size Waitrose wanted, so it ended there. I have not read the 8 page thread - but has James Barber any basis for suggesting they might now be interested in coming, because that was not what they concluded last time they looked.
  15. What a load of co*k. Try this formula: The level of police response will give you a very good idea of whether the person is likely to be found dead. Jo Yates = very high. Serena Beakhurst = very low.
  16. Yes , Looks like the police called it right all along.
  17. Wise by name......
  18. Charlton Manager Phil Parkinson sacked.
  19. hibbs Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The Mercedes Estate car used to have 2 fold up > seats in the back...not sure if they still do. Yes I was looking at this option hibbs but think they are a thing of the past for safety reasons. Think all the major manufacturers have moved to front facing seats making the vehicles enormous and probably too big for our off street parking too !

Ok thanks that is worth knowing especially since it is safety that is driving this due to lack of space for three car seats currently. Combination of booster seats and baby seat fitted into the current car may be ok option. Especially given prices of the 4*4 seven seat options .

But we had key performances from Thomas Rogne in defence who kept Kenny Miller quiet and in midfield Kayal dominated Steven Davis which was surprising. These foundations allowed celts to dominate possession and for once we took one of our key chances and the penalty was icing on the cake. Game on. Show me the whisk(e)y...:)
  22. Ibrox Disaster 1971 - 66 people died on the steep steps down from the terracing at Ibrox. Today both clubs will come together to pay their respects. Rangers and Celtic will be led out by their captains from 1971. The match has never been shown since, as a mark of respect.

  24. We have a normal 4 door saloon and with family visiting etc we realise that it just about copes with our family of 5 but is difficult with 2 carseats and also a booster seat in back, but certainly can't cope with more, eg people visiting or mum sharing a journey with another mum etc. Any recommendations? I'm trying my best to avoid a people mover and the 4x4 "style" is preferred so any comments welcome. (also Audi used to do a 7 seater estate car with 2 back facing seats, but I'm not sure these are stil being made - this would be perfect as we don't always need the extra seats)
