  1. Buildings insurance is compulsory as is car insurance. Most other insurance we would be better off without but many feel insecure without it. I'd shop around for contents and get the cheapest cover that clearly covers big ticket items but remember you are unlikely to have to claim on it so take that into consideration when evaluating the cost and benefits. Check the small print and if going for a cheaper policy make sure you understand the basis of the cover. Contents insurance mostly pays out on burglary, I think, so keeping your home secure is the best insurance combined with a basic policy to cover big ticket items.

Did I get this line right? So I says to her, will you be my girl She says, I will o' course...... if you grab me by the ponytail and ride me like a horse....
  3. When they were great.....
  4. It was slightly tongue in cheek SP as you seemed to be assuming they would not be champions and could improve further next year. Which is probably fair, but take nothing in life for granted. You don't often get a shock winner of the Premiership, but who would be brave enough to write them off.

  6. I'd love to come for curry - but I'm only allowed out once a week :-$ ! - I have been trying unsuccessfully to fit in an EDF curry for about two years but my dates keep clashing. Frustrated curry lover.
  7. Some things seem so simple at first sight.
  8. Yes - there seems to be a disparity between the Bank of England Monetary Committe voting which I think was unanimous in favour of no rate rise in Jan and the mortgage market which is factoring in a rise soon.
  9. Yes I came across that one Declan thanks. If I have to stand up to see parts of the game, presumably when the ball is in the corner closest to my seat, then I'm ok with that. My ticket was only euro35 face value, so I'd much rather be there than not. Apparently there are some overhang issues which might obstruct a view of the high ball in other seats.
  10. The tickets were returns to irfu and are restricted view which seems strange in a new stadium.
  11. Don't understand the logic really. Prices are rising but its not due to consumer confidence. Far from it. Surely any interest rise will hit people hard. But the mortgage companies have already begun pulling fixed deals in anticipation of a rate rise.
  12. With inflation above target what next for interest rates.?
  13. Amelie Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Is there a camera at that junction? If yes you > should ask the police to check the film. Are you for real Amelie? I know you have been in a few movies, but there are not cameras everywhere, certainly not outside the CPT.
  14. Jess - what did he want the iphone4 ?
  15. I thought he meant me....:-$ I used to be called Michael, before I started on this damn forum.
  16. Well, Colin got the Golden Globe. But I thought he should have got one for the Michael Thomas goal celebration....that was his career highlight. For me anyway.

  18. Today I bought 2 tickets for Ireland v England 19 March at the Aviva - the last match day of the 2011 6 Nations amd also St Patricks day weekend in Dublin. Can't wait.....:)-D

LOL - A couple of years ago I told some bloke called Atila that Henry had not been a success at Barca...boy did that go down well. The abuse only lasted a couple of pages. That guy, what was he like...
  20. Insurance - now there's a thing.
  21. Saw The Kings Speech tonight. Very good movie well acted with several good performances and Colin Firth is very good. Remains to be seen if he gets the best actor. I liked it because the subject matter is relatively narrow but the development of the story is nicely done. Colin Firth was very good but Geoffrey Rush as his speech therapist was superb. Timothy Spall as Forest Hill's version of Churchill .
  22. Maybe but its had 10 of my pounds just in case harry does the business. Only saw the highlights but they are good to watch and gave a good account of themselves today. A little bit of luck and it would have been three points.
  23. More matches than posts today on the football thread.......poor. Spurs now 50/1. Seems the market thinks they missed a chance. But surely they are better than 50/1. Worth a pound of Jah's money I would have thought at only 8 points behind. There seems to be an "assumption" that Man United will improve further and win the league. But who knows.
