Don't pay the mortgage? - I'm not aware of the banks defaulting on the terms of the borrowing. And if they did the loan would be renogiated. At that point the government can put additional restrictions on the actions of the banks as a condition of renegotiating the loans. They obviously did not restrict the payment of bonuses, as they would have not needed then to impute the bankers bonus tax. And I'm not aware of the banks breaching the terms of the original bail out monies? are you?
  8. I have a mortgage but I still spend money on other things, before repaying the mortgage. RBS borrowed from the government - it does not mean it can't spend any money until it pays the loan back.

  10. Strong right hand grip there Waynetta. That suggests he would habitually hit the ball from right to left. But I'm sure he will laugh it off. Ask me another.....

Bar stewards! Jeremy: I could also remind you that the banks did not run away with tax payers' money. The government took a lot of equity in return, and will - at some point - actually make a profit from these shares. My thoughts exactly Jeremy. Can't understand the "they took our money" attitude that prevails. We should get this back and more. Its potentially a good return for the taxpayer. If we are looking at "they took our money" we should be looking in another direction completely - look where our taxes are spent - "they" took our money.

I can assure you Huguenot that many people put an awful lot into supporting Goodrich School. I have been absolutley amazed by the time and effort some people are willing to put into organisation, fund raising and general school support at Goodrich. I think these people deserve, 1) the school as a whole and 2) the Head specifically to be at least as dedicated as the parents in responding to the needs of local people, with the aim of providing a school that meets their expectations on all matters of teaching and communication.
