You know I never liked you matt. Did you ever give me that fiver from the last time you were wrong?

Martin O Neill won't go back - he did a fantastic job and second to none over the last 20 years, don't give me that strachan nonsense.
  3. I suspect Roy Keane may be high on the list. 16/1 decent odds on him. Larsson is very inexperienced but many would choose him. Mark Hughes or David Moyes would prob not be interested but they are high in the betting for some reason. Apparently they have been close to getting Moyes in the past. Its a big decision for the club and they need to make a better decision than last time. They have seen that a poor manager makes for a poor team and ruins revenues pdq.
  4. I think the Government are planning to do your job for you Woof. But I agree, children need to be protected from second hand smoking. Well done. Liked the comment about white vauxhall corsa though, that would be a tougher call, Mrs Woof might be shocked and horrified as she picks Woof up off the floor.
  5. Hooray. Relief. Who might be next.
  6. Petanque in Peckham. That sounds dangerous. You'd need balls of steel to play that game, there.
  7. More than 24 hours before that one was spotted. Quids must be past his best.
  8. John Smith tried the pre election opposition budget thing one year - I think it backfired - from memory but not sure.
  9. Do managers resign these days? Probably not. Can they afford to sack him? - they can't afford to keep him, I'd say. Loss of gate receipts and european football all stacks up to a lot more than they need to pay to get rid of him. If he sees it through today it probably means he will see out the season. I can't imagine there will be a long queue to take the job either unless there is a significant trasnfer budget. Moan and groan. :( Maybe Rafa will be available soon.

  15. You don't like the smelly wet runny type daisie?
  16. I'm surprised there has not been a greater take up on this thread. I suppose Woof is not home from the pub yet.

We used to go to Mulligans Mayfair Friday nights and drag some well dressed girls off to the Swan. Early 1990s. They used to say "I can't go to the Swan dressed in my smart work clothes" - but after a few drinks, they did. The free "supper ticket" meant you did not have to buy them any food. Bonus.

Tonight I feel relieved as I feel sure its the end of TM. I could not take another season of him and hope the board feel the same. The manager is the most important man at any club and they made a really poor choice. Also however I'm amazed that some ex celtic players don't want the job. Mick McCarthy might be the best available. I think he would take it. But I think after Martin ONeill Celtic were a respected team in Europe and they should have aimed high and spent big for his replacement. Gordon Strachan did very well but was a step down from ONeill and once you take one step down the next will not be far away and so it proved, now Celtic are pretty much a joke and its a long way back from here but the biggest step is to get a better manager in, soon.
  20. Am i seeing things. Celtic lose 4-0 to st mirren? In many ways im pleased as surely now tony mowbray must have no future at the club beyond this season. Reminds me of the night celtic lost to caley thistle and john barnes went the next day. I thought TM was a poor choice as a manager who was relegated in his last role. You must aim higher than that. Sparks will fly at celtic tomorrow. The manager noone wanted should leave.

Not bad business. Dont forget the salaries. They have a bigger impact on profit and loss than any other outgoing at a football club.
